Where do I start? Traveled quite the distance after work lastnight to go and purchase a new car! As you can imagine I got there done what I needed to do and was excited for my new car. So I went too transfer the money too the seller as I normally would straight away blocked my account, right ok not too worry it’s probably just a security thing right? So I rang them up explaining my situation too them baring in mind it is now around 8pm at night to be greeted with some absolutely abomination of questions questioning my every move asking me too prove how I received my money in the first place and to prove what I am buying etc!!! Right next step is my account is getting reviewed perfect got told it’ll be a matter of minutes! Right fantastic! As you can imagine this was not the case at all….. at this point It is around 10:30pm at night I have 3% battery left on my phone no way of getting home nor any money as my account had been blocked why they verify! I explained my situation that I am stranded 140 miles away from home with no money to get me home due too my account been blocked and also no chance anyone can come get me due too the distance, I also explained my phone is about to die I have work in the morning and that I am starting too panic! Basically got laughed at…. Right back up too current speed now, it’s currently 9:37am the following day I am currently sat in a McDonald’s using the wireless charging stations too charge my phone and my account is still not been reviewed or unlocked! I am still stranded 140 miles away from home with no money and missing a days work due too this! The experience genuinely has been terrifying! This definitely will not be the last they hear from me as soon as my account is unlocked I will be moving all my money too a different bank and closing my chase down. If this happened with the likes of Barclays or Lloyds they would of atleast put me in a hotel for the night or gave me a emergency code for the cash machine but chase HA absolutely ZERO. Honestly the worst position and experience I have ever had in my life. *update* It is now 16:55 I’m still stranded from home with no money I haven’t eaten or drank I have literally been like a homeless person I genuinely can’t believe the so called “review “ team haven’t bothered too call me! I have range chase themselves every 10-15 minutes as am sure you would in my position same answer everytime “nothing we can do it’s with the review team “ I also requested for a manager too call me this was at 8:30 this morning … still waiting…. I am honestly absolutely gob smacked this is even aloud too be a company/bank/authority the customer care is diabolical at best.
Absolutely disgusting bank!! Froze my bank for no reason at all saying it's under review!! Have my kids disability money in there and money for me, partner and kids to live off and won't give me my money!! Dont care at all that we are all suffering!! Do not bank with these not the first time iv seen reviews like this about this bank!! No sympathy and all over £1 but won't let me access my money to live off!!
Despite having money in the account, we were unable to get cash from any cashpoint again!!! Seems to be a regular problem.
Never had an issue with the bank.
