I've been in the area few times and this is my first time to visit and experience the cafe. Its seems like a neighborhood gem because this cafe is always busy every time I've past it. When you enter the cafe and with its open plan set up, you can see the kitchen on the left side and then the main display cabinet with pastry and cakes, I got the vibe if being invite to somebody farm house. The staff was friendly and chatty, and must admit the coffe was good. I was told that the pastry I order a choco-crosaint was a best seller, but the one I got seems was very crunchy. Not sure if it's suppose to be like that. The cafe is busy and there is a constant flow of people coming and out. It's a nice spot to sit down and just watch people walking pass.
The place is very nice, cosy. The lady behind the till was just amazing, same as the lady in the kitchen. The food and smoothies are amazing. I had a burger and was just delicious. Very happy to discover a nice place with good prices
Great place for working or reading books, good coffee and Nutella brownie! Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Only two power outlets are available, would recommend charging your laptop before coming here to work.
Quite pricey but a lovely cafe to work, eat, meet or have a drink. They’re dog friendly and roast their coffee on siteRecommended dishesFreshly Roasted
I had high hopes of top tier coffee as they roast their own beans. The coffee was fine, but not great. I have reasonably high standards for cafés. The food was nothing to write home about and probably too expensive for what it was. Staff were warm and welcoming and easily the best part of the experience.
Top notch coffee here, espresso-based drinks are particularly good here I've had flat white & cappuccino here on multiple locations. If you're in Kensington Olympia for a trade show or exhibition, this place is worth the short walk down North End Road for sure!
Not bad. They roast their own beans. The service was excellent. I found the taste of their coffee too sweet, almost like it had sugar in it or something when drinking it black. It tasted off to me. But maybe it was a non-standard coffee bean? I don't know. The seating was nice, and the wifi worked fine, and didn't have any time limits on it unlike Costa coffee or obnoxious requirements to register to use it again, like Costa. The restroom was reasonably clean and in working order. They allow pet dogs inside the building not just service dogs. That may be a plus or minus for you, depending on if you like dogs or not, and/or if you have pet dander allergies. My biggest complaint is that they seat smokers literally RIGHT OUTSIDE the one and only door to the shop. So, if there is a smoker sitting out there, every time someone opens the door which is often you get cigarette smoke pouring into the shop. I got a headache after a while from the strong cigarette smell and had to leave. Note to Western US travelers, London has a LOT of smokers in it, and they don't have the laws the Western US states do about smokers staying away from the entrances to buildings. That effectively makes most single-room shops indoor-smoking shops before the smoke filters into the shop's interior pretty much constantly when the smokers are out there standing under the tiny awnings and smoking while it rains while blocking the door. Your best bet to avoid that is to find places that have upstairs seating, as it will mostly be the ground floor affected.
I went to Chapter Coffee and ordered the vegan breakfast, I have to say I have never been so disappointed, it cost a whopping £13 and had probably about £2 worth of food on the plate. It just lacked any flavour, the spinach was watery & I received about 8 beans swimming in sauce, to top if off they also gave me a diary butter, which shows they have no concept of what veganism is. The most disappointing breakfast I have ever come across, weatherspoons offers. Anyway moral of the story spare yourself the pain of ordering this & go across the road to continente who can make you a vegan breakfast, that will fill you.
Always the freshest coffee...and tastiest. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. I visit chapter on a regular basis and am never disappointed. Keep up the great work.
Gorgeous coffee and the most friendliest staff. Popped in after a conference to unwind before a long journey home and felt so welcome. Left with a smile and full of lovely coffee. Even bought some to make at home. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
