Ordered from here for a very long time. Has always been the best takeaway in Bishopton. We order once per week, every week very occasionally twice per week. The last couple of times, I haven’t been happy. 1st occasion was service - placed order for collection, went to pay card in the shop, would accept cash only fair enough, I offered to place the order on the website there and then so that money paid weather was terrible and had my son in car, owner said no and basically had to go get cash. At the time I wish I just said cancel the order, purely out of principle. 2nd occasion - quality/quantity. Tonight’s was the 3rd poor experience - collected a semi-burnt pizza not acceptable. Also collected a curry, less chicken pieces AND much smaller pieces. I’ve basically just sat and ate sauce and rice, really tasty sauce let me point out, but it was a bonus to get a bit of chicken. I appreciate the times we are living in, we are all feeling it, but I’d honestly rather I was charged more for the same quality of food. Also, sorry to be so blunt about this, I’m actually offended that you had the cheek to box up that pizza the way it was with minimal chicken but again understand why. I have now decided I won’t be spending anymore money in Chapati 9, I’m so sorry! Not sure if £30 average per week loss will affect you in any way, I hope not, but I’m not prepared to work hard and spend money on things that not worth it, whether it costs £10 or £100. Good luck.
After being a loyal customer for many years I am absolutely disgusted with the service I have received tonight. The ice cream I ordered had obviously been defrosted and refrozen and when I phoned to advise them of this I was told I'd get a refund. Ten or fifteen minutes later the delivery driver came to my door for the ice cream, which I'd already binned. When I phoned and spoke to the manager he said he wouldn't give a refund without proof, implying I was lying! I didn't even asked for a refund, I only phoned to let them know there was an issue! All they had to do was thank me for letting them know! I'm disgusted by the way I was treated, absolutely terrible customer service and I won't be back.
Got our delivery this evening and it was all freezing. Bit of a shame as they usually are really good. I don't have a microwave so ended up just throwing most of it out, except the cold pakora my son ate that.
We had a bit problem with our order, but the manager sorted it in a professional manner, no questions asked. No problem with the flavour or quality of the meal. Just something missing from order.
Food was pretty damn tasty, so no complaints here. Only issue was their inability to take card payments over the counter - cash only place I'm afraid. In this COVID era, all businesses ought to be allowing contactless payments. Please sort this out!
Extremely friendly staff, warm and accomodating. Customised my order without a hitch - which was super convenient as I needed to feed a 1 year old and a 4 year old. The food was yummy and service really outstanding!
AVOID DANGEROUS After receiving our order this evening, we found the chicken dish to be undercooked/pink/raw in the middle. We contacted the restaurant to only be given a barrage of abuse from the Manager. We informed him we had taken photos and would be reporting this to the authorities. Anyone knows how dangerous it is to eat undercooked chicken. I have reported this via email to the Food Standards Agency and sent the photos. I hope they investigate and deal with this place accordingly.
Great place for a takeaway. Always make sure I get a meal here whenever I visit Bishopton. Friendly and polite staff, great food and you don't have to wait long.
Ordered chicken pakora and chips. Tasty but not quite as tasty as it used to be and not quite the same amount either.
Possibly the worst meal we have ever had...The chips were hard and cold... the pizza was all dough no flavour... the chicken pakora were dry... the donner meat was tasteless and i ordered with salad and no sauce but received sauce and no salad. On a positive note... it arrived a half hour sooner than estimated! I contacted the restaurant and spoke to the manager. He did offer to send out another meal but i told him there was no point as we had lost our appetites. I asked for a refund or a credit note but he refused saying my only option was to throw the meal away and he would send out another. So we will not be dining with Chapati 9 in Bishopton in the future. Very disappointed as had been regular customers in the past.
