Back in mid-January I ordered 1000 litres of Kerosene from WFC Chandlers. Our old, condemned tank was still sited next to our new one, so I made a note of this on the order tank was buckled so obvious it was unusable. The delivery driver dumped the 1000 litres into the old tank, walked past the new one to do so and carried out no visual checks of the tank before dispensing!!! This caused it to split and leak oil around my garden. Chandlers came out and pumped what was left into the new tank and told me their insurance company would deal with the spill. Weeks passed with no news from Chandlers - no customer service or feedback forthcoming, our only contact was with the loss adjusters who were waiting on the go-ahead from the insurance company trying to find a way of denying responsibility, no doubt. Finally, the clean-up company arrived 19th April to start work but now the oil had been in the ground for 3 months it had spread from 1.2m deep to over 2m deep, not sure if it travelled under our house now! Lots of digging and excavation, waiting 2 weeks for skips to be removed from our driveway, then informed another approach is required. It is now approaching the end of June, part of the garden has been fenced off with a very large hole in the ground for weeks and we are still waiting, despite chasing the clean-up company who seems reluctant to keep us updated. The whole experience to date has been frustrating, distressing, stressful, worrying and extremely annoying. How can a company you rely on to be professional, cause damage to your property then not even keep in contact to ensure everything is being dealt with satisfactorily? We did not ask for this, it was brought upon us by the error made by the Chandlers driver, and we are now expected to shut up and put up with the inconvenience! And if you read this and ask if we have been offered any compensation for the upheaval, inconvenience, and stress this has caused, I will simply laugh and say I just hope this doesn’t happen to you!!! All we received was the cost of the oil lost at the price it cost in January!!!
Having experienced disappointing and poor service recently it makes a nice change to be able to acknowledge great service. The team at Chandlers do a great job and recently their delivery driver surprised us by delivering our oil before 8am in the dark and we never even knew he had been having opened gates and boiler room and then putting everything back as it was. Well done WCF Chandlers and your team....great service.
I have received five star service from WCF and can’t recommend them enough! I was desperate for oil as the light was flashing on the sensor and I had another 5 days to go before delivery. It was so cold as I couldn’t have the heating on very often as a result. I contacted Chandlers by email to see if they could help me. They responded immediately and the re routed my oil for delivery the next day! I was so grateful and can’t praise them enough. The tanker arrived early and the driver was extremely efficient and friendly. I will be back to Chandlers for my next delivery and I will recommend them to others in the village!
I highly recommend Chandlers for the supply of heating oil. It's quick and easy to order online. They offer competitive prices and faster than expected deliveries. The delivery drivers are friendly and helpful too.
The price per litre was much better than my usual suppliers and the delivery came even sooner than I expected. So much so that not quite all the 500 litres would go in the tank. However, there was no quibble over refunding the difference which I really appreciated as I did not want some kind of credit note. All in all a very good experience.
Amazing company. Rang up on Wednesday spoke to Kate. Used to speak to nicci before she left I got told I would have the heating oil by the following Wednesday. I got a text through Thursday night saying we will deliver your oil tomorrow they had arrived by 7am just as was going out to start the car. They asked if wanted to be out as they were blocking my driveway and I said no your fine just coming out to get car defrosted. Overall brilliant experience will definitely continue to use in the future
Companies that bother to deal properly with their customers are seemingly few & far between these days. But Chandlers is most certainly one of them. Whether it's the staff managing the phones - mine was help personified; she could not possibly have been more attuned to customer service - or the hugely skilful delivery drivers. Once again, Chandlers' was someone who had no difficulty in identifying with his customer, getting on with the job as soon as he could, but doing so in a very professional manner. And it was his manner that I remembered. These two people are a real credit to the firm.
Heating oil ordered on line at a competitive price and delivered promptly by a very friendly efficient driver. Very good service. Advised in advance of delivery day which was helpful
From order to delivery was only a few days.Quicker than expected. The vehicle arrived in a timely manner .The driver was friendly polite.He carried out the delivery in an unhurried manner not like others who i have had oil from and was happy to discuss the issues surrounding refueling issues like unreliable machanical gauges..A really pleasant change from previous experiences.Thank you
