This review is about ASDA CAFE. The gentleman who is billing today was very rude and intend to move me soon. I am not sure what the issue is, but he is not happy to answer my queries. I have to ask twice as he didn't provided any clear answer or show patience to explain. To my question on if there is a pancake available in kids menu, his reply was 'I would have said if it is available'. My kid was eager to know more about the options but I have her settled for a slice of pizza. I showed the ASDA Rewards app to scan, but again he said he already billed me. Then, cancelled the transaction, pulled my card and scanned himself for the payment,as if I am not aware of the process. Sir, There is no need to be rude to customers and its ok to give few seconds, especially if they have kids and need to decide. Other staffs were polite and helpful. ASDA Groceries is always a 5 .
This is a large hypermarket that carry all your groceries needs. Plus, there is a section for apparel & home necessities sports, electronics, kitchenware, school & office supplies, etc.. I like the fact that it has a small fresh meat chicken, lamb, beef and processed halal meats turkey mortadella , beef salami, burgers and frozen ready-makde kebabs, doner, samosas, pizza & other foods. I wish there is a separate halal section to meet the need of the large Muslim community in Lower Earley. Do not count much on the service, as staff are least trained & will never answer your queries, also the huge mess moving around large supplies from 9pm is annoying to say the least! But cheers for the little halal supplies, fruits, vegetables & other groceries. Also they usually open late till midnight, which is rare for most shops here.
I don't understand why there is never any gluten free bread at this store. All the shelves are almost empty each time I visit the store. I assume they just can't be bothered to keep customers who suffer from gluten allergies supplied with this staple of their diet. I visit the store about twice a week and on my last 5 visits I have been unable to obtain any gluten free bread - in particular those made by Warburtons. I visited the store again on 7th March. Still very little in the way of gluten free bread, no Warburtons gluten free bread. Also the cakes and biscuits section of the gluten free goods was almost empty. See the additional photos. I have asked Asda staff to look in the stores to see if they had any bread to be put on the shelves and they said that there wasn't any and that not enough of these items are ordered to satisfy the demand. On my last 6 visits to this store I have failed to get gluten free bread. At the Tesco local store where I have to go now to get gluten free bread the shelves are always fully stocked and there are no issues getting the items I want. I don't understand why Asda seem to struggle to keep their gluten free shelves filled.
Cancel home delivery order and can’t be bothered to even let you know. Thanks Edit I have contacted customer services who have confirmed they do not contact customers who have their delivery cancelled. This is a great policy and is why you should never rely on Asda delivery’s. This was my first and last time.
I wish Google would let people review negative stars! I bought milk powder online, but I didn't receive it after it was delivered! Instead, I told the driver to return it and applied for a refund for me! I have not received a refund until today! It's been four days and I'm sure I won't receive it on the fifth day tomorrow either! Your processing is really slow! If the owner sees this comment, I hope you can contact me! Please reach me on Google! After all, this is not a small sum! I'm really disappointed with my first purchase! All the products were replaced with those I didn't need. I didn't call to inform, but shipped them directly. I think this is really ridiculous! I want to contact you to solve and deal with it but I can't get in touch! This is very infuriating! I won't give a single star! But I have to give you one star! I avoid you! It will also uninstall your software! Will not buy anything from you! Really scary! Such a bad thing will happen to me
What an absolute shambles in here today!!!! Had to queue for half an hour to get to the cashier with 2 small children, old people in the queue also. Each till was about 7 trolleys deep. It's the first weekend after new year and in my opinion very poorly managed. There was at least 10 unmanned tills and no staff in sight. I would never go back here again what a waste of time standing around with everyone in disbelief about how long we all had to wait. I feel sorry for whoever has to work in these conditions.
I do like this at Asda because it's got everything you need. It's so far away that I have to catch 2 different buses to get to it.
CAFE The cafe is filthy. All the tables are dirty and it's never busy whenever we come. The pizzas are nice though when hot. Never any napkins except the odd scattered blue roll when there is any No Dispensed drinks even though it says on the menu.
There are a few members of staff in this Asda that are very rude to customers. I suspect this comes from the management of the store. I live local to this super market but I will not be spending anymore of my money here and instead will simply go somewhere else. Also just to add, this has not just been a one time thing, three times I have been spoken to in an incredibly rude manner. I have even phoned up to try to tell of my experience and was promised a call back from the manager of the store, which of course didn't happen. It is really disappointing as the store is local and i'm happy with the purchases just the times i've been spoken to very rudely has ruined going here for me. When a carrier bags handles I had bought, snapped, I was made to feel like it was my fault despite not overloading the bag at all. Really poor and unless something is done about it then I suspect more people will stop using this store.
I would love to say my experience in this asda was fantastic but it wasn’t because of one in particular employee, Harrison. For one he has not got a positive mental attitude towards his work. For two he is very rude to customers. Could you please have a chat with him Thank you
