Slow service. Waited nearly 3 hours for them to test smart watches I was trading in both were 75%+ charged so that's no reason when it's normally like an hour or so. Didn't get as much for them as I expected based on the online trade in prices but was happy enough. The guy who served me was lovely with impeccable manners even whilst my daughter was screaming. Online stock checker means nothing. Ordered an item for click and collect using my trade in voucher and got a message that someone in the store cancelled my order. Some of the electronics in the window didn't look up to standard. Happy to buy games and dvds here but really have to be careful with electronics and I'd always use my credit card for extra protection
Extremely rude arrogant staff. Especially Jason the store manager. They insinuated I was a liar when dealing with an issue i had with a problem I had with a phone I bought from them. They didn’t want to help me all and didn’t try to find any solution for anything. Really disappointing and a terrible experience. Avoid at all costs
Don't buy here, the phones they sell break in less than a year and then they look for any excuse so that the warranty doesn't cover you. And on top of that they are very rude and unprofessional.
Watch out trade in because this company will rob you. Refuse to trade in receipt with £50 credit on it for items. Staff are rude, unhelpful and don't where name tags so you can't complain about them. Staff member smells like weed
Went in looking for one thing left with something different . Staff were great. Helped me with exactly what I needed. Didn't have what I wanted but suggested other options. Ended up buying a game instead
I used to love CEX and have been a customer there for many years. However on my last visit I was looking for particular games and came to realise they were selling switch games pre owned for more than what they cost brand new on amazon. If they could have even matched those prices I would have been happy but will most likely always check the price difference now. I can't fault the staff, a blonde lady was very kind to my little boy who was getting bored upstairs whilst we looked through the DVDs, the shop does have great stock and products, but in this current climate, I have to shop where I get the most for my money and CEX was not it.
This place is very unreliable I had tired to sell 2 still good working graphics cars to them and they wanted to pay me stupid amount of low money for them. I have gotten a few things from here and luckily they have still worked after getting them. so I wouldn't recommend trying to sell anything to them because 9 times out of 10 they will lie to your face or say it's worth nothing
Tried to sell to this place. They seem to want perfect still in the box unopened . Would not use these I'd rather take it to the refuse centre.
Always sold my old phones to CEX, but on this occasion : POS staff & even bigger POS manager will gaslight you into thinking there are “scratches” etc on your trade in that aren’t there, so they don’t have to pay out. Extremely rude and threaten security on you when you challenge them to show you. Disgusting experience.
I've never had a problem when buying from this store. Generally, the staff in the store have always been helpful and there has been a great range of stock. HOWEVER, unfortunately I have to give the store a bad review because I went into the store not long ago to sell some camera equipment and it was clear that staff required some training on how to handle camera equipment that is potentially very expensive. The guy at the front desk was twisting the focus ring on my lens while auto focus was still engaged a big no-no as this can really damage the focus mechanism on a lens, and if that breaks a lens is more or less useless. Like I say, this is nothing against the staff in question because they are always friendly and helpful, and it's not their fault that they don't know how to use the equipment - But I think CEX should at least train them a little bit better, because this could have potentially been a really expensive mistake.
