Central Oriental Supermarket

When I first arrived, the place looks like a warehouse of some kind. When I found inside was it exactly what I had hoped, all of the extremely hard to get Asian ingredients for those that love making their own food at home or trying authentic non-Americanized versions of food. This is an Asian food-lovers wonderland! This supermarket has every sauce, drink, noodle, chip, treat, dim sum, shumai, and more than you would expect. There are products they don’t carry, but to find all of this in England just made my heart happy. I was like a kid in a chocolate store and just had to hold back.

This hidden little gem is a really great place for oriental food or catering items that you don't find at other places. If you need an huge packet of dried chillies or a kitchen sink-sized wok, this is the place to come. If you just need a small jar of cinnamon sticks or a pair of chopsticks, this is the place to come. If you like oriental food, pay this place a visit and I doubt you'll leave without buying something...and then you'll come back again for more! Be safe though as the access off the A1 can be a challenge.

What a wonderful hidden gem. They have fun little toys and decorations that my two young kiddos love. The food selection is fantastic as well, so many spices, sauces, and easy to make meals. We even got some great inexpensive kitchen supplies as well, like measuring cups and a cute carrot/potatoes peeler that my youngest loves to use.

There has rearly been an occasion that I would not find what I am looking for. Staff are always helpful and store is well stocked. Fresh food fridge section is also worth visiting.

Suitable to buy for a business asian kitchen or for personal use. Prices are good,ower than supermarket proces for some products. Interesting to try and see culinary cultures.

Choice of food is great. It is mainly frozen goods rather than fresh but you can find all your goodies in this store. Staff are very polite too :

This is a great place to shop for both ingredients not found in more common supermarkets and at a better price. Plenty of parking, stock and help and advice. I visit regularly to stock up.

Not happy with the service given today. Been going to this shop for years although I have friends that has warned me about this store cos they had bad experience bought dried and fresh food items that has expired. I used this store cos the location is convenient. So far I had no problem until today after I bought some dried food but did not noticed there was a hole in one of the packaging until I got home. I then noticed 2 other dried food items were expiring in a weeks time. It's partly my fault for not checking as I would expect these type of dried food would usually have longer shelf life. I decided to bring it back to the shop for a refund. The same Chinese woman behind the counter was not happy when she saw me bringing back the items. When she made the refund she literally tossed the cash on my hand and walked away! I was shocked with the kind of service I received. I would expect some level of customer service especially to their regular customers. There was no apology instead she said I should check before I pick??!! She sealed the hole with tapes and put it aside. I hope she do not intend to put the item back on the shelf and hope another customer won't see it! I am very disappointed with my experience today. Although the prices are higher than other Chinese Supermarket I have been, I didn't mind cos the location is convenient but I won't accept being treated rudely!!!

It sells everything you need for oriental cooking. Great one stop shop

Fantastic oriental food store has a great variety of truly oriental ingredients, if you want to cook true oriental food then this store can provide all the ingredients that you need. I love the range of sea food sold and the prices are great too. Give the place a visit you will be amazed at the range they hold. They cater for the trade as well as the individual. Visited again this week the choice is better and the stock levels were really good.
