Central Bakery is a traditional bakery. It was established in 1892. Less artisan, more happy for the locals. It sits a few streets back from the high street. Bring along the face mask, only a small number of customers are allowed in at any one time. With all bakeries, it is best to be early to pick the freshest, finest baked goods. If you are there just before closing, you’ll be able to take your pick of the bundled deals.
Outstanding hog roll and millionaire shortbread. Very reasonably priced. Hidden off the main high street but well worth the wandering to find it. A proper little gem.
Really broad selection of savouries, sandwiches and cakes. Worth a walk back off the main street to find. We’ll be buying our lunch here every day of our holiday.
The food is great, the service is embarrassing. A few angry women snapping rudely at people, don't ask to have a sandwich cut as they don't have knives even though they make sandwiches all day. Madness,if it's making you angry, why bother ?
Great produce .. cakes are lovely, bread is really tasty and fresh .... staff not so pleasant!
Rude and unwelcoming the minute we walked through the door. Were basically told that all bacon and sausage were gone and everything else was cold. Almost felt like they couldn’t wait to get rid of us. The lady serving us just couldn’t be bothered and basically wanted us out. Disappointed.
Great little bakery. We had sandwiches and cakes from here. I would highly recommend a visit!
Need to write I am not really local although I am frequently in Beaumaris and do have a lovely little llofft there. And have been visiting for about sixty years . And am well travelled . I was in Central Bakery to order bread for a collection on New Year's Eve morning which was helpfully, courteously and efficiently done, there was explanation about which of the artisan breads were wholemeal etc. On collection there was a bit of a joke about climbing up to take the Christmas tinsel down , the order was ready and the next customers were pleasantly invited into the shop as I sorted my bags out. The shop looked attractive although business had been busy and there were fewer cakes and breads than at opening time, and the staff were well informed and pleasant with ready smiles! Thank you Central Bakery staff.
Day trip from Llandudno to see some of Anglesey and tired of pub lunches and fish and chips. Hidden gem. Delicious filled rolls and treats. The bread was so fresh and tasty I wanted to go back for more to bring with us and have later in the day.
Bread very tasty morish proper stuff
