I've been to CAU in Cambridge so when I saw the Liverpool one I decided to give it a go. I visited on a Monday night and the venue was quiet, probably 12 diners. The staff were attentive and my drink order was taken quickly amd arrived about 30 seconds later. I ordered my Rib-Eye and was amazed at how quick it turned up. It was about 6-7 minutes later. Incredible! As you can see from my photos the steak was not only pretty large but it was cooked perfectly. I could not fault the restaurant in any way. If you like the lager, try the Argentinian one, very refreshing.
Had lunch here with my Dad last week. The manager Mark was very friendly and talked with my dad about the different cuts available. He then generously brought a few slices of the TAPA DE CUADRIL for us to try, the flavor in this cut was unbelievable! We ended up having the Ribeye steaks which were butter soft and packed with taste. The meal was overall much more reasonably priced and had better cuts than a lot of high end steak houses i have eaten at. The restaurant was spotless. Highly recommend it!
Absolutely loved dining here last night, the food was spot on and delicious, only critical thing i would add was the music was a bit off for a place like this. I look forward to trying this place in London.
Absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection. Best steak I have ever had. Hands down
Food was good, service was a little slow for a quiet afternoon. We had a sharer platter and a main for £12.50 which seemed fair.
I never write a review but feel obliged. It was very slow, extremely poor quality and overpriced. We asked for three medium rare steaks and all three were well done and rubbery. They forgot my onion rings - they did take them off the order but when they arrived they were raw and had clearly been cooked in 2 minutes. They forgot the bacon on the burger. They bought the food out with huge gaps so everything was getting cold. The staff were apologetic but everything that could go wrong appeared to. And it cost us about 30 pounds each. Not good.
Amazing service. Brilliant decor. Best steak I’ve ever had. It was a busy Saturday not but when we end t here with some friends. We hadn’t booked but the manager tried his best to find us a table, after just 15 minutes he found us a good table for 4. He noticed it was one of our birthdays and gave my friend a birthday drink. GREAT TOUCH!
We managed to get a table booked last minute for Friday evening at 9pm. It was fairly busy but the waiter was attentive and quick to serve us. Nothing was too much trouble, there were a few questions he couldn't answer but went to find the answer each time. The food was tasty and freshly cooked so you can't really ask for much more. It was our second time there and would return for sheet visit.
Had sea bream with wild rice. It tasted lovely and spicy be cautious if you can't handle heat as it doesn't say so on the menu however the vegetables and rice at the end were ridiculously salty. Had to wait about 15 minutes for the bill and the restaurant wasn't that busy. Also the staff put a 10% optional gratuity onto the bill and ask if the bill is OK? That's not a good business practice and people should be able to tip if and how much they want.
Took advantage of the steak, chips salad and matching glass of wine for £20. My steak was beautiful with a Thai citrus marinade that went great with a radish salad. The Malbec that accompanied the steak was a great match and stood up to all the strong flavours. Very nice decor which felt very modern and the atmosphere is very sophisticated. Would love to go here again.
