It was at a good place, not having to cross any roads to get to the main town, but the parking machines are a mess, one only using cash and the other only card, but the card one wasn’t working.Luckily we had cash, but the instructions weren’t clear.nFor anyone using it, you have to put the cash in to select what time you want. It’s a no refund or cash back system, so if you put in £1.50 for a £1.30 payment, you don’t get the 20p back.nI recommend going across the street or the larger one, because this is a small car park that isn’t very accessible
Lovely day out at the Rochester Castle, cathedral and the high street with stalls for drinks and food, live music and fancy dress. Lovely little coffee and tea shops and boutique stores for candy, wooden toys and various items with an old world charm!
Rochester is a fabulous ace steeped in history, the cathedral is lovely and very worth while of a visit.nI've been to musical events there a Adele tribute night where the acoustics were amazing...also my sons graduation was there.nYesterday I was there to see a touring piece of art in the rear garden...Knife Angel...made of knives confiscated by the police.nWow.nYou can spend a day in Rochester, a tourists favourite.nI volunteer in a shop in the high street, it's a fabulous place to work.
I always use the car park whenever I visit the cathedral.
Very beautiful inside, with paper birds hanging from the ceiling, think children done them for remembering those we've lost!! Then there's lights on the birds!! And looks very pretty!! They have concerts here, last one being Ryan whose sings in Chatham high street often!! Nice walk around but I remember that we used to be able to see the tombs right at the bottom but it's closed off!! But other than that all the statues and plaques is just beautiful!!
