Enjoyed our first visit to Catch. Service was efficient and staff were friendly. Small haddock and chips was a big enough portion and the sausage supper was substantial. Chips were really tasty and everything was perfectly cooked. Chocolate donuts were really churros but no less tasty for that. Our only slight disappointment was the sticky toffee pudding which was a bit dry but the tasty sauce helped to salvage it.
The waitress was a little bit busy but still super friendly and patient with us. Battered haddock is the best I’ve ever had, also wide range of snacks and the king prawns are good too with their sauces! Just take a look at all the photos.
On our recent trip to Scotland, this is the first place my wife and I stopped for food, it set the tone for the whole trip, because it was amazing! I normally don't care for fried fish, because to me frying hides the fish taste, but this was done perfectly. The batter coating worked with the taste of the fish, rather than covering it up. Paired well with an Innis & Gunn IPA. The chips were also nicely done. Service was great, too. Our waiter was very patient with us ignorant Americans not long off the plane and awake going on 30 hours at that point. Prices were quite reasonable, too. I've recommend Catch to many others.
Excellent fish & chips, really nice spot and very welcoming!
Good. Reasonable prices. Excellent gluten free options. Very tasty. Convenient opening hours. Staff are pleasant. Nicely kitted out inside. Definitely a fish and chip shop for repeat visits. It is hard to beat gluten free monkfish scampi.
It's not the cheapest fish and chips ever but it's good and fresh and crisp and well served. Service was superb and dog friendly and drinks choice was good too. Hard to fault this neat and friendly spotFood: 5/5
The restaurant was great. I liked the location, setup and decor. The menu offered variety which was nice. I found some items to be a bit pricey. The staff were nice, welcoming, helpful and friendly. If you sit upstairs it can get a but hit though they can open the windows if requested. All in all, I'd go back again and try something new. P.s. they even have the cutest and oddest of things which is a spray bottle for your fish and chips.
Really like it! Great and dry crust on the fish! Fries weren’t crispy enough, but they were good... great sauces, peas were not salted enough... overall great experience! Staff were really kind and available.
We got prawns and fish and chips. The portions were very big and the food was fresh and delicious, I would definitely come back again.
Lovely freshly cooked fish and chips. Great to sit in and enjoy a glas of wine. Staff very friendly.
