Visited here for a birthday party, food was nice, big portions, bit of an issue getting to the bar as all the locals sit right at the bar and don’t move so hard to order a drink. Ordered a brandy and coke drink was disgusting as coke had just ran out so it was filled with some vile flavoured liquid, if the people weren’t all perched at the bar would of asked to have it changed, in future maybe don’t serve people the dregs.
Pulled into this place on our way back to South Wales from Dorset. Lovely food and great service with a very friendly atmosphere. They even had a small campsite at the rear which could be really handy.Food: 5/5
Been here a few times. Such lovely food this time I had the ploughmans it was lovely best I've had around and a really good price. Staff polite and friendly. Parked fine just behind the pub. They also have a kids play area fenced off by the car park. Parking: Just behind the pub quite a few spaces
Only used this local country pub the once as was only camping at High Ham for a couple of nights. Friendly welcome after I'd booked a table at short notice. The food was tasty hot and served with a smile. Food and drinks for 2 around £40. A good popular community pub.Food: 5/5
They do Carvery twice a week Sundays & Wednesday evenings. I would highly recommend trying the carvery but book ahead as it can get very busy. There is also a menu to choose from on all other days apart from a Monday as they are closed.
We've been here twice now and stayed overnight in our motorhome. The food is well presented and enjoyable. Both times the lady behind the bar was friendly and we were served quickly. We'll definitely be back.Food: 5/5
Food was average. Kitchen door was open and different people not staff going in and out. Service was poor :/ After being seated my partner had to go to the various to get drinks each time as nobody took our drinks order. Had our main and was given the deserts menu to then be left for 20 minutes before calling the young girl over so we could get our bill. We did want desert but after waiting 20 minutes we decided against it as had to be elsewhere so no time to sit any longer. Wouldn't go back.
I made a late booking for a group of 15 due to being let down by another pub. An excellent service and the Sunday carvery was good quality, tasty and plenty if it. Recommended. PS: doggy friendly.Food: 5/5
We had a fantastic lunch here, great quality and very generous portions. The staff were all really friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area, we are going back for lunch today!!Food: 5/5
