Oh dear! A shocking place to park. It’s impossible to even get to the disabled parking bays.
Awful. Awful car park, totally inadequate facility. Very few spaces, many people parking in unofficial places. Allow plenty of time to park e.g. 30 minutes before your train and even then there is no guarantee you will get parked in time. No other car parking nearby. We need to invest in modern and adequate parking otherwise passengers won't travel by train. Best to walk, run, jog or get a taxi or local bus to this station. Not using it again unless dropped off. The stress on the day meant we missed our train had to drive to our intended destination, and, couldn't get a refund on our train tickets.
Cool little station near Glastonbury. 2/3 platforms, shelters, loos and ticket office. Friendly staff. Local route into town marked at station, with the option to do local recommend walks - pick up the leaflet at the station. GWR train at Castle Cary was pristine..social distancing and face coverings are essential during travel at this time and enforced by guards.
Much of the car park appears to be closed, I arrived hoping to park but the car park was full of cars that were all frozen so must have been left over night. The station is out of town so no other parking options.
Station office closed . Yet it's only 2.30pm on a Saturday. Toilets all locked no refreshments available . Be warned if you are leaving a train to get a connection from this station go to the loo and make sure you have a drink with you
Very poor condition and spaces are tight. I know this is a country station but surely there are minimum standards to be met. Luckily I was only meeting a train at 8pm but it was still 80 percent full and littered with do not park here signs. If you are on a day trip good luck finding a space amongst all the commuter cars.
Local, convenient, small station. Only 2 platforms so much less daunting for the inexperienced traveller than big city stations. It's got trains - what else do you need?
The only train station to support the local towns like Glastonbury. Excellent transport connection to London every day and many local taxis to use if you don't fancy waiting for a bus which runs once in 1 or 2 hours few times a day.
Cute little station .cosy waiting room .could be used in a 40s film
Parking space good for town. Station taxi are little expensive and may not be available. Other taxis are working but if not pre-booked may delay. Station is normal as others in its class
