My wife and I pop in for a quick fish and chips and we were offered the Paisley Fiver Feast deal. The girl who served us described it as a small fish and chips for a fiver including bread and butter and tea. What a fantastic deal well done Castelvecchi. Excellent value for money and fantastic service.
We stayed in Paisley for one night before we flew out of Glasgow and were walking around to find a quick small dinner. We landed here and the staff were so sweet! We ordered the curry chicken pizza and popcorn chicken. Nothing fancy but it was so tasty and affordable! Everyone was friendly and caring and it was a lovely experience.
I popped in for lunch Sep 22 for the first time as I wanted to experience the history of the place and I wasn't disappointed, lovely retained character. Food was lovely; had the special haddock and salad. The waitress was just as lovely and will definitely be back Update Nov 22....visited again & same experience when it was really busy; which to be honest was really good to be a part of as the atmosphere took me back to my teens when I worked in a similar cafe. Enjoyed my scampi and chips, delicious & the waitress was again lovely..will be back again soon

5 stars but I'm biased mother worked in here for years. The following day we were off on holiday to New Zealand and did not want too cook anything the night before leaving so popped into Castelvecchis for a supper..... they did not disappoint.Food: 5/5
Not as a good as it used to be and poor customer service this time as they sold my already paid for fritters to someone else that they by seemed to know who came in and ordered while I was waiting for the black pudding to be cooked so got a half portion and half refund instead.
This has always been one of the best chippys in paisley for so many years but recently the standards have slipped badly, don't know if it's a coincidence but there is a new young fryer guy working and I've had two really poor meals where as before you could always count on a 5 star meal from here, in a blindfold taste test you would thing it's a reheated meal from Andy's golden fry.
This is a traditional fish and chip shop with very friendly staff. They went out of their way to provide my great nephew with a hot sauce for his chips. They gave him three to try in small dishes. They seem to have lots of regular customers and know their names. My Sister and Niece both had a breakfast which they said was very good. This place also serves gluten free battered fish which is very hard to get.
Absolutely delicious pizzas, great value. Delivered piping hot. Will definitely order again
