Perhaps I haven’t visited all the cities and towns in Scotland besides Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Oban… but this was the best fish and chips for me 12 years ago and it is still the best on the earth.
Amazing food!!! I ordered the katsu chicken curry with half rice half chips. Huge portion! Tasted amazing and the service was top draw too. I wanted to try the deep fried mars bar sundae but was too full ha. If I’m working up here again I ll defo be coming back. Check it out you won’t be disappointed
Absolutely the best in Renfrewshire. pleasant staff, fish is consistently good. High Tea , brilliant value. What's not to like. 10/20Food: 5/5
Controversial opinion but the best chippy in town for me - edges over the Nutini one with nicer batter and better chips although both are rather good. As a Grimsby town that used to be the biggest fishing port in the world boy I know a good fish & chips when I taste one and this place does knows how to do one!
Food is always freshly cooked and the staff are absolutely lovely, this is definitely one of our favourite places to eat, I'm so glad my husband grandmother introduced him to this wee place all those years ago Food: 5/5
Amazing food and amazing prices ,1st stop every time before heading to Glasgow and nowhere else does chips as nice as here ,I'd highly recommend a visit and staff are so friendly and welcoming.
Delicious lunch time soup, fish & chips for bargain price. Definitely to be recommendedFood: 5/5
I’ve been going since I was 5 with my gran, and recently a horrible waitress started, service terrible horrible girl, I spoke to owner steff over a phone call, and asked in 45 years I’ve never complained. And did not want her serving me, he agreed, went in a couple of weeks later and she served me, I spoke to Steff about this got a come in on days she doesn’t work , after the length of my custom I was so disappointed in his response ended up in a argument he said I don’t talk to people who shout I walked out and never will be back ,steffs mum who I know well would be horrified at the way I’ve been treated, such a sad loss.
Love this place. Love the staff and the atmosphere. We go alot to catch up with family over a nice fish teaFood: 5/5
Allan's used to be great , it's gone down hill by serving really thin fish . Mushy peas were wattery and chips weren't that great. Will maybe give it one more go. In the meantime I will go to the one on New street.
