upon arrival the place looked lovely and the owner Lynda was very friendly. That evening things changed due to the owners lowering the amp on the electric all of us who paid for electric hitch up had none. Luckily our caravan had a gas bottle we could run the heating from but our poor friend's who were in a trailer tent was freezing cold all night. This happened the second and 3rd night which resulted in my friends leaving early. When we approached the owners they were very rude and said it costs too much money to run the electric. My friends daughter also overheard the owner Richard slating us which is very unprofessional. We also seen another side to Lynda whilst driving out of the campsite the wrong way this was a mistake as the guidelines was not very clear. We did apologise but Lynda was very angry and spoke to us like a child. What was supposed to be a great weekend visiting Tenby for the first time turned out to be a disaster. I would avoid at all costs
Very boggy site. Appreciate it is around a lake, but even seemingly higher ground made it extraordinary to pitch a tent as there is almost no grip for a tent peg. We haven’t done much camping in this country and did stay at a wet time, but in all honesty I am not sure if the ground was suitable for a tent site. £5 to get rid of rubbish seemed a bit unfair to be honest and I feel ought to be included in the rate or mentioned on booking so we could have brought the appropriate sized black bin bag. Not sure why we paid £5 a night for our dog if there seemed to be no dog bin…if there was…we weren’t told about it. The electricity was fine for our stay…I just think there is a limit to how boggy a site can be for tents to be pitched and if the weather was out of the ordinary we should have been contacted before travelling and could have changed our dates. Staff helpful and facilities clean and welsh cakes a nice touch. Hot water fine at sinks which was all we used.
Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. The owners limited the electricity to 5amp just to save money but unfortunately this was tripping out the electric on the whole site when everyone wanted to use their heaters as it got very cold at night. My poor friends was in a trailer tent with no heaters and came home early because they were so cold. The shower block was freezing even when you have a shower it was going hot and cold. You even have to pay £5 to get rid of your rubbish. My friend overheard the owners talking about us saying "dont worry they're leaving tomorrow". The attitude from the owners were disgusting, I wouldn't even give 1 star. Definitely avoid at all cost
