Absolute must if you like walk or hiking they have several different levels of walks for all ages. Dogs go nuts there, all roaming free to discover the river or the woods. Car park is£2 for 2hrs or £5 for the day. There are picnic areas with barbecue fires just waiting for someone to use also a cafe if your feeling good lazy. Go have some fun with the children they have the Lady Vale walk that's easy walking for them. Enjoy

Many different walking routes. Great for dog walking, too. Car park big but not free. Lovely little cafe. You could spend all day here. Play area for kids, if they have any energy left

Pay and display car park but what place isn't. Dogs, kids and bikes but no issues of overcrowding or litter. This place is beautiful and beautifully kept. Great for anything from a solo stroll or let the kids go off leash. With mini activities posted along the various trails only helps keep dog owners and kids occupied.

Went for an early evening ride and it was worth every pedal stroke. I'd not ridden at Cardinhan Woods for at least four years, in that time the trails have bedded in really well whilst not degrading, hopefully it gives some measure of the dedication of the maintenance crews. It may only be graded Blue with a couple of Red options but the switch backs are fairly tight and the climbs though largely on fireroad are quite testing, a good outing for a rider getting to grips with more technical features, the Red has some lovely tight bermed switchbacks in descent, it could probably do with a couple more tabletops but there are rollers to double up when you know their location. Beware the climbs on the Red whilst not traditionally technical it is a steep as found on few Blacks around the back the various UK trail centres. The trail itself feels longer than it is, the designers made good use of the topography, taking you up and down the valley sides, but can easily be ridden in under an hour making multiple laps possible. I cannot comment on the cafe, it was closed at that time, hopefully it still has the old world trade room charm it had on my previous visit. Well worth a visit if you are riding in Cornwall or Devon.

A great place for a family walk there is a gentle walk good for pushchair and wheelchairs or for the more adventurous some alternatives ranging from 2 to 4 miles round trip. Good bike hire and seating area for pic nic.
