Had a meal after bowling, Staff were very friendly and helpful. The meals came quite promptly after ordering and were delicious. Great food for the price. Next time in the area will have no problems revisiting.
Six of our installation team went to have dinner at the Bay Tavern. Very good value, fast service, clean and tidy environment. Drinks are reasonable price. The steak is amazing value and good quality, highly recommended.
Absolutely awful food.. orders tuns melts x2.. they come out soo cold with a few strands of cheese. Told the waiter that brought them out to us. After having to wait some time. They then came out burn.. give up in the end with the can't be asked attitude. Service was shocking, food was even worse.. really don't recommend
My wife and I were looking for a simple pub or tavern to eat. We saw this and popped in on a rainy day. We wanted some "typical" UK food. We were nervous, as some reviews had been poor, but we found a nice place, friendly staff, and good value meals. The Google Page lists its prices @ $$, but we found the prices comparable to chain American Family restaurants, very budget friendly. Overall, a great evening for two tired Americans. So glad we ignored the negative folks and gave it a chance. Thanks to Jackie Jacky, and the folks at the bar whose names we missed!
Food was absolutely stunning and lives up to my childhood memories of this place. Sam, Fred, Liam and the chefs were amazing and had superb service. Best service I've experienced for a while. I am definitely coming back and I know my partner feels the same. Gorgeous comfort food, great prices and a very comfortable and safe atmosphere. Would recommend twice over.
I went to the tavern for food with my 7 year old daughter. The atmosphere was great for her and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The bar tender Natasha was especially friendly and gave my daughter extra attention which she loved. Natasha made sure she had the activity pack and colours to keep herself entertained and answered the many questions my daughter had about working there. Would definitely recommend this place!
Amazing experience, no words could describe how pleased we are! My sister, niece and myself went to the Cardiff Bay Tavern for lunch earlier and had such a wonderful time that we wanted to give it the review it deserves. The staff were lovely and very attentive towards giving the best service and achieving honest customer satisfaction. We used a Groupon voucher which we are very grateful for as it introduced us to a great place with very patient and welcoming workers who work very hard and well to provide an outstanding experience. Moreover, the food was unmatched with generous quantities : Heavily recommend!
Sorry to say that this was probably the worst lasagne and onion rings combo I've ever had. The lasagne was all pasta sheets and cheese. Very little meat between layers and oddly a fair bit of carrot. No real amount of tomato sauce so very dry unless you include the puddle of grease it was sitting in probably from being microwaved. Garlic bread was only toasted burnt on one side and no real garlic taste so another oddity not encountered before with the underside just soggy bread! Onion rings were clearly cheap frozen ones and would be much improved if beer battered ones were used. A generous 2 stars given for good service, a cold glass of coke on a hot day and the dips that came with the rings.
Had a superb steak with my brother here Monday night excellent the waiter make with long pony tail was fabulous to us 10/10
Food has been great for the two times i have been, although steaks and grills were not catered for on the second time due to kitchen equipment failure. Both times staff were very accomodating and helpful, also the prices are very affordable. The premises were clean and toilets clean and well serviced. Will definitely be visiting again 100%.
