I've been coming here since I was a little girl, it's always clean and staff always efficient and friendly. First time I used the table service by scanning the QR code and it was was easy and quick service, the lad who served me also grabbed my cutlery and condiments for me as I had the dog with me who would have lost his mind if I'd left him outside while I went to get them! Really helpful considering they were busy! I paid £10.40 for cup of tea, scrambled egg on toast and 2 extra Sausages for the dog which is a little high in comparison to local cafes around town, knowing If I bought the children with me, I'd be looking at £30/£40 for breakfast makes me squirm lol but I'd go back so?....plenty of seating indoors and outside and what more could you want having breakfast in the sun listening to the crashing waves! Bliss!! There are public toilets between the cafe and carpark, parking is really reasonable and takes cash or card! It's a pebble beach but always clean and really good for dog walks or spending a few hours with family!
Very lovely cafe, quite modern inside, great views just outside with the sea right on the doorstep. A beautiful walk along the sea front. Although they didn't seem to have everything on the menu, they did give us replacements and served us super quickly. The food was very tastey, the milkshake was really thick and yummy and the sandwiches we had came with thick chips. All together a very pleasant experience.
Really enjoyed my first visit to this quirky little cafe. Hubby tucked into a massive cooked breakfast whilst I opted for a BLT which was a proper meal in itself. Also I'm lactose intolerant so I was very impressed to be offered a choice of three dairy alternatives in my tea. I'll definitely be backFood: 5/5
We ordered prawn salads, based on the wall display menu and laminated menu cards price of £8.50. Charged £9.50 but the guy was happy to refund when I showed him the menus. Later, I scanned the QR code on the table and the menu that came up had the prawn salads at £9.50, the other salads at £8.50. Hopefully they will reconcile the two menus before our next visit. It was nice to have a healthier option as well as the high quality breakfast options. Lovely spot.
Good sized portions of variable pricing. Cooked Sunday lunch or meals can be gd value and say a portion of chips is very expensive for what it is. Located next to the sea so the atmosphere is based on that. Very busy due to location in the summertime. Gd for a coffee or snack & nice to be able to get food & drink at this beach location. Kid-friendliness: It's a seaside place so is kid friendly Parking: Paid car park available and public toilets
Went down to carats this morning for mothers day breakfast. delicious as usual. Staff nice and friendly and even got a bar of chocolate for mothers day. Was quite than normal but think roadworks closure on a27to blame. Been coming here since I was a child. Lovely 50 odd year memories!Food: 5/5
The nice thing about this place is the location. Right beside the sea. However, it doesn't really have a sea view because it is kind of low down sounds weird I know but you'll see what I mean when you come. It's got a plaque saying that it is the place where King Charles II set off from when he fled to Fécamp in France to escape from Oliver Cromwell. The food is nice.
It's ok for hungry cyclists. Basic food but great location. I had a bowl of chips that was very ordinary, bordering on yucky, and a cappuccino that was pretty good. My friends all had bacon sarnies that looked pretty good as well. The staff seem happy and friendly. I'd definitely go back but I'd buy an ice cream next time!
Go approx twice a week with family. Great food cooked how you want it, great prices, staff are always very polite & friendly. Would recommend for age groups.
Great place for reasonably priced delicious food! Excellent portions, nicely presented. Lovely conservatory to see the sea but not have the weather!Food: 4/5
