The food was good, not overpriced but the staff is horrendous, twice they tried to serve us some drinks which we did not ordered. Ordered two lemonades, a cider and am half a pint, never got the cider for some reason and I just renounced to ask for it as the food came and it was good. The king prawns with garlic was the best, tuna steak was good but a bit overcooked for my tase, the pizza was good but burned. Overall clean and enough space. Though the surprise came when I went to pay, I had 2 pints and a cook extra on my bill. I have initially paid the bill and I have realised after that there were some extra staff. I went back at the bar and initially the waiter kind of did not wanted to admit it and called another guy from the back which I have not see serving but he paid me back right away. Another quick update: After this we went there another 2 times, the food was as good and the first time, 5* for the chefs. But the waiters, thought we’ve been served by different ones, they still tried to give us some different drinks and in the end they forgot about one jacked potato, which wasn’t necessarily an issue as we ordered it extra for our toddler and in the end we gave her food from our plates. The third time we went there we almost had no issues and we benefit from the eat out help out scheme. But at the end another waiter had to come and check what we had as they just changed the shift and they have not been passed on the tables or something similar. Anyway this time was a bit better but there was a couple at a table next to ours and they kept on giving them the wrong drinks and they never got their food and decided to leave in the end. This place is nice and clean, the food again is amazing, but the staff is inexperienced I would say.
Family owned cafe, highly recommend the slush at only £2 a cup and you can mix the flavours a really nice beverage for the beach.
Great coffee, beautiful location, and the best conversation! Thank you Sergio!
Stopped here for a much needed drink and ice cream and sit down. Freshly made milkshake, good size ice cream but best of all great service. One of our group left their phone there. Staff found it and held until collected later in the day. Relief all round. Thanks
What a friendly little cafe on the seafront. Only two tables outside and right next to a children's play area. Staff are great and coffee is good. Snacks too. Wonderful place for an early morning coffee. Opens pretty early like about 9, which IS very early for Brighton!
Really poor service and very average at best food. We asked twice for the menu, cutlery, bread, and drinks. The bill didn’t come so we went to the bar to pay, the waiter was not happy that we didn’t wait. We were not asked if the food was ok and the waiter couldn’t be bothered to say bye or thanks. The food was very average, it was GSCE standard at best. Mussels lacked taste. Those chips didn’t belong with a piece of battered fish. They tasted liked microwaved chips from the 90s. The fish had been on a diet before being battered. The non alcoholic cocktail wasn’t drinkable. The bread was the best dish. The restaurant relies on the view.
The main guy who works there is so rude. I ordered a drink but he wanted me to try his way. I said thank you not this time and insisted on having what I’d like as I’m paying for it and consuming it. He then made fun of me asking my partner if there is something wrong with me etc. It really upset me but I tried to be nice and left. Then today I went again to order drinks. He saw me and ignored me. He didn’t respond after I asked several times whether he was open or closed. Then he took my order but first touched all over his face and ears then went on to put his fingers inside the cup with a smirk. At this point I just walked out. Really unprofessional and creepy behaviour. I do not recommend!
Lovely little Café, run by awesome, friendly people. Popped in by chance and even though they were closing and had cleaned down the coffee machine the owner was happy to put it back on and made some tasty drinks - super pleasant the whole place had a good feel. Catch it on a sunny evening and you'll be in a little spot of haven! Seems kid friendly with the park across the way.
Decent priced food and drinks.. not too expensive considering its location. Staff was friendly.
Sweet little café. Get there early for a quiet breakfast before the crowds arrive and the beach gets busy! I had a Vegan shakshuka and an oat milk coffee - service was prompt, food fresh and the whole experience was socially-distanced and COVID-safe.
