But of a local gem, food is good, never had a problem with delivery or takeout. Staff are always polite and friendly and happy to engage. Always make a point of chatting with the young kids unless they are shy. Food is reasonably priced and most of the grilled food is cooked freshly when ordering. Kid-friendliness: Pretty safe environment and happy to chat with the kids while waiting so they aren't bored.
My order was delivered quickly, the fish was huge, freshly cooked and delicious. The chips were also good but too many for me so sadly, half went into the bin! First impressions are very good, I will be back.
Had pizza, garlic bread, pie, mushy peas, chips and gravy ordered with a beef burger. Me and my friends enjoyed a great meal together, a d even shared the burger with my cat.Food: 5/5
One star is too much for this place. Unreliable and absolutely shocking attitude towards customers. Just called to find out wherr the food is, as put order in over an hour ago. 3 burgers, and garlic bread. Order from here as although the food is average its close by, but food doesnt show up! Plenty of other places to buy food from around here which we will do from now on.
We pre ordered to be delivered at a designated requested time. This was pre/ordered and arranged due to other commitments. This order was Delivered 1hour early and captured on our security cameras. We contacted captains table who apologised and informed us that we would receive a fresh delivery at the original designated time. WE ARE STILL WAITING !!!!!!!.On return home we discovered a cold congealed unappetising and unappealing greasy pile of unedibility. We will not be returning to reorder from here again . A Very unfortunate consequence for the captains table. We entertain at home a great deal and place large orders. They have lost a great deal of future business
Second time having it. First time was great so ordered again. This time the meat has mold on it. Thanks for the possible sickness. Didn't bother calling don't want anything else from this restaurant.....
New visit Jan 2023 after 2 years gap see review below Still not good. Asked for pie and chips and charged £5!! When I queried was told its a large portion of chips. Said I did not ask for large....oh thats whats we serve always. Chips very average!! Should have read my own review below hahaha. Second visit to this chippy in last few weeks. First visit not great experience. Unfortunately the second chance visit was not good either. They offer poor customer service - they make you feel as if they are doing you a favour even though you are spending the money! The chips were poor quality and had several black chips which were inedible and should have been taken out previously. Not recommended.
Don't order from here, they waste your time then pretend to uber eats that you rang and cancelled your order to make it difficult to get a refund. Scammers. Avoid
Only left 1 star because 0 stars isn’t possible! This is our first time ordering. We ordered their “pizza meal deal 4” for £10.00 which according to the Uber eats menu comes with a 12” pizza, chips and a can. We also ordered a Burger and chips, and a garlic bread. Once the order arrived he Uber eats driver told us the pizza, chips and garlic bread were missing so she’d go straight back to the restaurant to collect. In the meantime I rang to restaurant to confirm. The person on the phone was extremely rude! She didn’t apologise once and insisted the pizza deal didn’t come with chips. I told her they need to update the Uber eats menu. She couldn’t understand why I thought it came with chips and indirectly called me a liar! She offered no apology/compensation and then hung up on me without the issue being resolved!! I then rang back and she said she will send the missing food now and hung up again. I understand mistakes happen but I expect staff to rectify this mistake with at least an apology! The customer service at this place is beyond awful! Rudest staff and service. I would never recommend this place to anybody.
Pie was pink in the middle and fish was pink, it took over an hour and 30 mins to be delivered when I rang up they just put the phone down on me would not recommend to anyone gone so down hill in the past year
