Great little museum. Only gripe was a lot of the written historic stands the lettering was a little small for me to read, maybe a talking headphones option would have been easier though Covid 19 measures may make that more difficult.
Great museum, well worth a visit. Covering his life, and some supprising facts about his death and his crew. The museum is spread over 3 floor and a the attic. Which was Cooks room when he was an apprentice. We loved the visit. And Whitby is a must to visit anyway. Book online is so easy as well.
Very interesting museum, situated inside the house Cook was an apprentice at. Covers Cooks travels, as well as some of the famous men that sailed with him like Bligh, Vancouver and Jospeh Banks.

Interesting museum in the place where captain Cook lived. Lots to see. Examples of his Quaker living conditions and exhibitions of his travels. Excellent staff. Very good Covid measures set.
Very interesting small museum. Organised very well to keep people safe during these challenging times. Great help with my mum's disability.
Well presented and atmospheric house. Lots of drawings, artifacts and info about Captain Cooks voyages. Coronavirus measures are overly complex compared to other places though - 15min timed entry slots etc.
Really good interesting visit, over three floors of exhibits and history to take in and appreciate. Lovely unique views of the harbour from the rear courtyard. A must visit when you visit Whitby.
Fantastic story of Cooks voyages and life all within a basis of where he started his career.
A really interesting museum that taking on both James Cook's life and career as well as the history of Whitby as a port and education centre. Great and engaging interpretation.
