The “boss” is rude and doesn’t know how to speak to customers respectable. I won’t be shopping there again. I’ve been shopping for jewellery most of my life, I’ve never been charged for a simple repair
Great service, good quality gold and good prices
AVOID !!! I was recommended Caprice Jewellery Croydon by a friend to get my Gold bracelet fixed on the 5th October 2023. Unfortunately, I had been away for a while as I lost my farther in-law. On my way from work on the 19th of November I came to your branch in Croydon to collect the bracelet. I explained that I had left the collection receipt at home, but I had my Identification and proof of purchase of the bracelet on my phone for clarification. I was told by a member of staff that the bracelet had been collected already & paid for by someone else. This was shocking to me and I explained to the staff that it could not be possible as I did not tell anyone or instruct anyone to collect on my behalf. He continued to tell me I should contact my friends and family and confirm with them as it had been collected, he showed me a collection book with a signature which I did not recognise saying it had been signed for and collected by this mysterious person. I kept trying to explain to him that no one could have collected it and if they could please check their cctv camaras so I could get an imagine of the person who collected it on that date and give it to the police as this was a matter of theft. Both members of staff told me they would check but proceeded to attend to other clients leaving me standing there, when I asked what was going on he raised his voice at me and said, “It has been collected and there’s nothing he can do I should leave”. I asked if I could take a picture of the signature and get footage of who collected it he told me they didn’t store video footage for that long and that he would not let me see or take a picture of the signature. After 30 minutes of arguing back and forth and being ignored by both members of staff I decided to call the police and report the crime, I gave them my location and informed the staff members that I had called the police and would wait for them to attend to resolve the case of theft. The staff member continued to raise his voice at me demanding that I leave and telling me I was a silly girl and should go and ask my Nigerian family which one of them came to collect it. I have never been so embraced and disrespected in a public environment where I was patronising and spending my hard-earned money. I stood at the stall for another 20 minutes waiting for the police, the staff member who verbally assaulted me left the stall as soon as I received a call back from the police that they were on the way. Within 5 minutes of that phone call the second staff member appears and all of a sudden, he has my bracelet and gives an embarrassed apology! much embarrassment and be spoken to in such a manor! This was disgraceful and I will ensure to never use your service or recommend it to anyone.
avoid by all means go to a proper place fake ive brought bracelet over £200 wore once and if fell apart went back to them they not interested real cowboy mentality
