Shady AF business, applied for a loan, original amount got rejected and came back with a much lower value. So I decided not to go with them and told them so a couple weeks ago. Fast forward to today (2/3/17) and there's a direct debit from capital credit union for £115. I emailed and was told the application is still active, yet no money was given to me by these shady thieves.

Pretty decent company with good ethics. You'll usually be able to find better interest rates elsewhere, but at least using a credit union benefits the local community. Customer service lets them down, you will learn to hate there on-hold message, I don't think I've ever managed to call through without at least a 10 minute wait. Having said that, if the message is true then capital credit union have been experiencing exponential growth for the last several years and you can perhaps understand why they have not been able to keep up; have a listen, you'll see what I mean.

Funds were taken from my partners pay without her consent. Turns out this was for a loan payment for a loan she doesn't have!!! I am disgusted in the way the problem has been dealt with- she is still being passed pillar to post and still has no indication as to when she should expect her money back! This is a form of stealing as far as I am concerned as you took money without consent - totally disgusted!

*****WARNING***** MISLEADING COMPANY ***** The staff that meet you face to face are a lot better than the man who answers the telephone most of the time. very patronising indeed. The company in general is very misleading, claiming to hold onto "savings" of yours, which by the way you cannot withdraw for 30 years and only in small amounts after that. CONMEN.
