A quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. There is a fast food place only open during Summer season and a restaurant a little further along. Plenty of eating and entertainment places are close by and free concerts are held during the weekends in Summer at Jimmy Macs.
I personally think that the Canvey Seafront is excellent, especially when the coastal defences are finished.nIt's It's going to be excellent for people to visit plus. People will have the concord cafe to have fantastic views and refreshments and a relaxing rest , from walking along the coastal path
Another great day at Canvey, the crabbing/Pool area on Concord Beach is perfect for children to swim in the sea but be protected by a walled area, great crabbing opportunities in the pool and surrounding rocks. I'd suggest beach shoes are worn as it's a sandy/Pebble beach and the pool has crabs in which may nip toes. The cafe just along this area has a great variety of drinks, food and snacks and other beach essentials such as shoes, ice cream, buckets, spades and the crabbing bate. There is a second walled area for swimming behind the cafe. There are toilets a short walk from the beach in the car park, 3 car parks available.
I have no idea why they have placed tarmac on the beach. Looks awful. Works being carried out along the sea wall making the path wider. Irresponsible dog owners not picking up dog poop. Canvey sea front has so much potential but is run down despite current works.
Canvey has had lots of regeneration and is well worth a revisit for a nice day out. There is lots to do for a lovely day out. There is lots of Parking with easy access to free toilets , there is a funfair and lots of Amusements. There is also lots of restaurants ,seafood places ,cafes and bars. Canvey Seafront is a lovely walk along the river with some great views, it is full of interesting history and nostalgia. There is a lovely cafe overlooking the beach area and paddling pools. There is also some great artwork painted all along the Seawall , which tells of Canvey’s interesting history and heritage. You will enjoy a nice walk along Canvey Seafront and enjoy your time here . I’m sure you will return as so many do.
