Chips were overcooked, dry and the oil seemed and tasted quite overused. Chips weren't hot as it was a portion in the basket when we arrived but could have been kept a little warmer. The vinegar was really strongly sour, not as tasty as other places. Clean looking front end so giving 3 stars but definitely need to improve on the taste.
Quality and quantity of food is fantastic. Unfortunately my latest order consisted of chicken curry and chips, chicken kebab with burger meal deal. Chicken curry and chips had salt and vinegar, chicken kebab only just visible in the tray then the burger meal with chip had no salt or vinegar on the chips. Crazy fool whoever did these meals, I don't pay for curry to have salt and vinegar with it, nor do I expect chips to be unsalted. There were no options for salt and vinegar nor mild, medium or hot curry. I deserved through Deliveroo if that helps you.
Best take away I have had for a long time. Food was amazing. Usually most places serve dry chips and burgers are never so good but you’re food was absolutely perfect. Will be ordering again soon. Keep up the good work.
Fish and chips was great, chips were cooked beautifully and the fish including the batter was also excellent. Chap behind counter seemed pleasant... and he actually put a decent amount of salt and vinegar on, which is something of a rarity in chip shops nowadays. Definitely pop in here again if passing.
I had feedback last time on our order we didn't get , and received and accepted Thanks I popped in there today to grab some chips to share with my boys . I asked of the chips were large as requested they appeared a small or smaller bag bag. So was given a potato fritter to compensate as chips were cooking none left My 4 year old said his chips were hard and wasn't able to chew them., I had to agree they were likely the worst chips I've bought for a long time. At £2,90 blimey . The chick and mushroom pie was not all that great tbh . Overall I cook better food at home that my children eat without quibble . Won't return sorry poor food. Oh and if you're going to.thriw a chip or 2 back onto the pile keep your hands away from your face. Hygiene is important.
went couple of weeks ago with my son. Employee saw us waiting 5mins early.. but even after 10mins he refused to look our way and didn't open on time and 15mins later still seeing us there and refusing to acknowledge us still didnt open.. bloody rude .. would have expected more from Muslims but absolutely disgusted.. avoid.. there is a lovley halal one not too far away in Ely and customers service is brilliant
Just popped in and fancied fish and chips as had thick sliced bread at home for sarnies lol. Fish was cooked fresh and to perfection , chips were great as well. Great service and value for money, Small piece of fish which wasn't small and chips £5. Try it guys x
