Society day at Canterbury Golf Club. Decent fresh brew coffee and plenty of it and nice fresh bacon butties. Friend had cooked breakfast which was also decent. Considering current weather and lack of rain course was in a fair condition quite a few tight and bare lies. If your off the fairway some areas are rough rough. Greens decent and I putted on them ok. Nice refreshing cold beer on return to clubhouse. This is a nice friendly club.
Stayed at the camping on the other side off the road…was the first time playing golf again in 10 years…people in the pro-shop were very helpfull and friendly! Loved the course. Injoyed very much…and Canterbury is a city to visit…the Cathedral is amazing beautifull!
First time here, really good, love that they've got top tracer now, thats the reason I came! Easy to access, easy to get balls, reasonable pricing slightly higher than Thanet driving rangers but not a massive issue. Toilets and vending machine available. Clean. Good sized bays. I'd only ask if the vending machine could have a card reader like the balls machine for times when customers don't have change.
This parkland golf course is surrounded by a beautiful landscape. When I played there with a friend of mine, the grass was still dry from the heat wave. After the round, we spent some time at the clubhouse and really enjoyed the traditional club life. Overall, this golf course has a lot of potential.
Lovely breakfast and friendly welcome. Great course layout but lots of work taking place on greens and drainage. Condition as poor as I have come across. Would be disappointed if I were a member.
The course is playable. Several areas are under repair. Hope it will become better. Sitting in the club house is just very enjoyable with nice people around.
Pretty good facility. Reasonably priced. Good mats and decent marker posts and targets to aim for. Plenty of bays plus space in each one. The balls are pretty good, not the best, not the worst, More than good enough for the likes of any amateur hitting off mats. Staff are friendly and polite, it'd also Well flood lit at night time. Only negative and it's so fustrating is the road leading from the golf club to the driving range, is horrendous, pot holes the size of planets. Never see pots holes like it. Dropped a star for that.
Driving range is great, got everything you need. Trying out the course next week and looking forward to it!
Not played the course but the driving range is excellent value. Range balls are generally in good nick and most bays have a mirror - really helpful. Could do with a spruce up and a functioning coffee machine hence 4/5 stars
Course was in super condition with the greens rolling perfectly Have played there several times over the years and this was the best it has been Followed up by a lovely two course meal that I would have been happy to eat in a restaurant
