As a mountain biker of some years, who has used many, many shops over that time, I can say without doubt that Cannock Chase Cycle Centre is a top mountain biking shop run by a top team of chaps, who are themselves mountain bikers. They’re a brilliantly helpful, experienced, and very knowledgable team and will do their utmost to help you without selling you something you don’t need. They have a comprehensive range of bikes and bike gear for sale to meet most MTB’ers needs, at competitive prices. They offer an excellent service and repair facility and their team has always been able to identify faults and help get us back on the trails as soon as possible. They always have a extensive range of top brand rental bikes in all sizes, available at modest prices and we’ve tested this facility a few times over the years, as well. Myself and my MTBg mates have used the shop frequently and never ever been let down or disappointed. Credit to Drew, Josh and Simon today for yet again, sorting my bike at short notice. These guys are very good indeed and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. As to the person who put the negative review because they wouldn’t rent a bike out to him because he’d forgotten his wallet and ID, how unfair of you to put the review when you were at fault. What did you expect, in this day and age?? Don’t lay blame on others you feel are unreasonable when you messed up. Make no mistake this is a great MTB shop, which is a rare commodity and just in case anyone challenges my impartiality or thinks I might be associated with the shop, or the lads that work there, given my comments above, then I would stress that I am not.
I had a puncher nearby, borrowed their track pump, and struggle for 30 mins peeling on the last 3" of the tyre to the rim! Ask the guy in the shop he did it in 30 secs! Thank You
Great fun. Loads of different routes for different skill levels etc. The bike shop is great. Bit pricey but the staff are excellent and it's a doddle to hire a bike. The red route is brilliant, you'll need some basic bike skills as it's fairly technical and a bit of a lung buster to get all the way round.
Another ride ‍ calls for a drop into the Cycle center... Always amazing advice, friendly staff and great gear to peruse which is very fairly priced! Much to my surprise Today's purchase, the fox proframe helmet, which I've been eyeing up for weeks Thanks to the cycle center, they've been there from my first MTB rental back in December, to saving my bacon on multiple occasions bike setup and maintenance issues/queries, punctures, as well as entertaining great MTB discussions, thanks Dan I highly recommend a visit to the shop, don't forget your mask and wallet! You don't regret it.. I never do Another reason to visit, in case you didn't find one from the above... There's a jet wash available, for a small fee

Drove 3 hours to get there, left my wallet at home - wouldn't let me use any alternative ID to prove who I was. Wouldn't give a refund on the bike I wasn't able to take out. I've rented a bike in other locations and they asked to leave car keys, never been asked for a physical photo ID. I have copies of all my ID on my phone but that wasn't good enough, although they were fine taking money from me paying online.
Great place definitely worth a visit. Nice and flowing with technical parts on the red bike route. Blue is great for starting out. Gets busy on weekends and Bank Holidays. Nice cafe also
. I've had a number of bikes from Cannock Chase Cycle Centre over the years and the service has always been excellent. Great advice and great after sales service. Staff very knowledgeable and always willing to help those of us not so technically inclined when it comes to the more complicated parts of bikes. Highly recommended
Always had a good experience with Chase Cycle Centre but today was exceptional. Popped in with a split brake hose expecting to be told would be a wait of days or weeks - was actually all sorted within the hour and a few other bits fixed too, all for a fair price. Big thanks to the staff there!
