Lovely cemetery and crematorium. The grounds are well kept and tidy. The road leading up to the crematorium is wide enough for parking one side and it is well looked after with no pot holes. Lovely and peaceful place to remince about your loved ones. There are burial plots and also remembrance stones.
Absolutely amazing service, I would highly recommend to anybody. Got to say a very special goodbye to my loved one. Thank you for everything.
We have a number of relatives in Canford and it is generally kept in good tidy condition. I would like the opening hours to be a little longer in the summer as 16:30 seems a bit early. As a general point of interest if you have “lost” a relative call the really helpful general office with the name and DoD and they should be able to give you the grave location, the map is available to view next to the gate on the main entrance photo attached just for reference.
Had a lovely walk around the area. Sat in the cemetery and there were lads gardening. Very lovely place to think and chill with a large park next door.

This is one of the main big cemeteries / Crematoriums in Bristol. Thus making it convenient and easy to visit. Situated in a lovely area, The cemetery is well kept with mature trees and wildlife, also a good space for an easy walkabout, as the grounds are on the level. Also tennis courts nearby.
My brother's ashes were laid to rest many, many years ago in what was then a well-tended, tidy rosebed beside the peacefully winding walkway from the entrance. I haven't visited for decades, as I live a long way from Bristol, but called in recently to lay some flowers and to see his name once again in the Book of Remembrance. After a long drive, I nipped in to the disabled toilet near the entrance. No loo paper or hand towels, just an empty bottle of whisky and litter. Along the walkway I saw sadly that all the roses were gone, now replaced by weeds. Managing the grounds at Canford must be a huge job but if I lived closer I'd happily volunteer to help return the Rosebed to its former glory, and maybe others would gladly do the same, if asked, while thinking of their loved ones.
Went to visit shrubbery 17 the grass was up to my knees felt upset seeing the state of it to think my fathers ashes are scattered there as he loved his garden
I love coming here to take my dog for a walk, nice place to stroll around on the afternoon. Only downside is it can get a little overgrown, but other than that I enjoy visiting
