Disappointing service & a ruined surprise! Ordered a surprise cake for a friends birthday - staff were very polite and helpful over the phone. But when I arrived to collect the cake, I was told it was not ready (issues with their computer). I would have understood if they had called me earlier and informed of this but nobody did. I repeatedly asked when this issue would be resolved as time was running out - staff had no idea. Now 45 minutes past collection time, I told staff the time had passed and I'd be too late now either way. Staff were emotionless. They cancelled my order and acted as if I'd inconvenienced them by requesting so. The manager (I assume he was as the staff referred to him as their boss?) was also present. At no point did any of them actually apologise to me for the awful service. I've bought one cake from them before and that was fine. Clearly they're unaware of how customer service works when they mess up... I hate to sound so harsh but I could not sugar-coat the truth more if I tried!

The customer service from this branch is awful. I've stopped using the branch and would rather drive down to the barking branch. I've had issues with orders and not charging the correct amount. They are pricey and the cakes can be hit and miss.

Fast service but unemotional staff members. Cakes are cheaper then patisserie valerie but pricey. Small variety. Good for last minute birthdays.

Do not order your cake from here as you don't get what you requested. I order a Victoria sponge style cake and received a chocolate cake which tasted disgusting. The birthday girl does not even like chocolate cake and was extremely disappointed.
