I read through the reviews on this dentist and thought I would relay my own experience with regard to this practice. I personally would not recommend them. I had a private Denplan agreement mapped out and paid monthly fees for the plan only to be told that areas listed on the plan were in fact not covered by the plan. Frankly, if the plan lists them, the plan covers them but seemingly not. When questioned about this phrased in a friendly manner, the dentist immediately changed from smiles to very rude and suggested that I was being unreasonable. It's this kind of behaviour and change of tone that you hear from the other reviewers. While it works and you accept it, the dentistry is fine however if something is wrong and this practice falls apart. What a shame! I have graded the dentist as a 1 star to directly counter their own self- 5 star rating as a reply rather than using the real reply function - shame on you!. Everything now balances to give the overall correct public review score. There is plenty of choice in the area, everyone should choose wisely and consider these reviews when making that choice.

I have read some of the reviews on here, however Im only going to talk about my experience. I have found Carin Brae to be professional, thorough, and always accommodating. Its easy to get an appointment to suit my time, and easy to get an emergency appointment when needed. I have had a lot of problems over the years with my teeth. Over the last three years Imran has gradually helped to get my teeth and my smile back in shape. At the end of the day you get what you pay for. My own personal experience is I cant fault the work. All of the staff I have met here have always been polite and accommodating. Prior to becoming a Denplan patient here, I was under an a different dentist as an NHS patient at a different surgery. During those years at my old surgery , I have lost count of the hours I have spent sat in their waiting room while they run up to two hours late. Time I will never get back. Not to mention the slap dash dental work. Keep up the good work

I agree with the other reviews here. My advice would be to avoid this practice if you are a NHS patient. I usually use NHS options if available; as a top rate tax payer I pay more than my fair share for the ‘service’ they provide. Sadly, I have come to expect to be treated like dirt when using NHS services; passive aggressive reception staff, waiting way beyond allocated appointment times etc. This is bad enough when visiting a Doctor’s surgery (which is free) but to add insult to injury you are expected to pay for dental appointments! I cannot comment on how private patients are treated, but personally, I will be using an alternative practice from now on.

This has to be the worst dental practice I have ever visited. The service at reception was good but the dentist himself and his approach leaves a lot to be desired. I am guessing they probably treat their "full' paying customers with a lot more consideration. We had 2 groupon vouchers for a teeth whitening treatment which we bought for £99.00 each(and allegedly worth £499.00). One consultation down, and I was the second voucher redeemer. The moment the dentist spoke, I was uncomfortable; in my opinion he failed in his duty as a dentist. In a nutshell he suggested that I was not suitable to use my voucher because my enamel is too strong and the fact that I had no dental fillings was another indication for him to decline my voucher. He suggested also that my inner teeth were stained which also affects the outer teeth and the viability of having a good result. Even though I have good teeth, in bid to sell me a more expensive treatment, somehow he made me feel insecure and bad about my teeth. One would think having strong enamel is a good thing, and even if my teeth is stained, he could have recommended that I floss more and a visit to the hygienist for a deep clean. I found him very rude and I can imagine his disdain for voucher holders which was why I decided to write this review to share my experience, I wouldn't recommend this dentist at all.

My family and I have been patients for some years now and have always been pleased with the treatment we have received. Yesterday I had a crown fitted and it's absolutely fine. Thank you.
