Lovely venue, sat upstairs overlooking the stairs. Lovely staff, looked like they cared about all the customers. Ordered a hot choc which was really nice with marshmallows and cream. Ordered jacket potato and a panini, food was great. Plentiful portions and tasty. Value for money was good payed just under 18 quid for all the food. Would go again.
The food was delicious, big portion and didnt take too long. I got a jacket potato with a variety of toppings which came with salad and coleslaw. The chicken is also halal which is something I didnt know, as i didnt see any signs stating so. Will definitely be back again!!
Busy little café. The two lasses serving were kept very busy and active up and down the stairs flight with trays of food. I only went in for a cuppa and cake, took 10 mins for someone to take my order and a further 10 mins for it to arrive, but 20 minutes isn't bad when they were so busy and doing their best to keep abreast of it all. Served with humour and a smile too. I had the cuppa and cake deal, which was meant to be £3.75, I believe. Nice hot chocolate, but I had it with cream and no marshmallows. The pistachio cake was very delicious. Was a bit surprised to be charged £4.75, as I was charged £1 for a squirt of cream not the real stuff. Marshmallows, if you wanted them, were 30p extra, so not sure why they lobbed a quid onto the deal. Still £4.75 for an all right hot choc and a yummy piece of cake is OK, even if it's not as stated on the signage or menu, nor was I told that there would be £1 extra charge to pay. Loos and baby change are down the steps in the basement. Great cake. Pleasant, chirpy staff.
We were there for twenty minutes and didn't get our order taken. When we asked a waitress to order we were told someone would come up who proceeded to come up twice more and take two other tables orders. Eventually we walked out and we weren't the only ones. We heard as they told other people but no-one told us directly that the kitchen was busy so they were taking orders one at a time rather than taking orders and informing of a wait. We would have been happy to wait once ordered but this just seemed ridiculous. We went elsewhere and ordered within 5 minutes.
The best cafe in the town no doubt. Delicious food, nice coffee, cute staff, reasonable price.
Had breakfast there both days of our stay in the Premier inn at Halifax. Excellent food both mornings. Would highly recommend!

As thou I only stopped for a coffee, to get my bearings, the service was excellent, before I even sat down they were there making me feel at ease and offering there service to ask what I was wanting. Well I'll be going back there again for sure. TOP MARKS IN MY BOOK.
