Tried Cafe Rouge with a 3 meal groupon voucher £30 for 2, almost 50% off and it was alright. Nothing super fancy, nothing super bad. Food arrived promptly, was hot enough, although not fully fresh e.g. salad, dessert. Starters onion soup, garlic mushrooms were very nice. My steak was good, my partner's chicken burger not shown was quite dry. Desserts were by far the highlight. I have been to this place before, and although I have never been wowed, this time was slightly below expectations ok for the Groupon price point, not ok otherwise.
I really enjoyed my afternoon tea, it was lovely, lots of variety. The black velvet cake was lush. I will definitely be going back in the near future.
Absolutely awful experience. Six of us dined and only 1 had a good experience. 1 of the party has a serious allergy issue and having ordered and checked it still came wrong. Be aware if you have allergies. I had steak which I requested rare, came medium to well and very cold. Another of the party had fish stew which was also cold, after complaining they put it in the microwave to heat it up as it was back in 2 minutes. Having already had a terrible night I almost fell over a ladder outside the toilets picture attached. I complained about this to the management who said it wasn't their fault as they had no where else to put it. I would suggest avoiding unless you want bad food and service.
Breakfast looked attractive but was barely luke warm; not hot. Waitress was very sweet but had not been taught how to clean tables correctly ie: catch mess in a second cloth, don't push onto to the floor - which was not even swept after!.
Enjoyed our food and the overall atmosphere in Café Rouge during a quick lunch break. We ordered the Salmon Croquet which was very tasty and served quickly. We only paid £5 each due to having a Wuntu discount code.
Location is good. disappointed there was no eggs for breakfast today. This is toast with salmon and avocados.
Great food. Friendly staff. Only 4 stars as the service was a bit slow.

Desserts and coffee good, main dishes only correct...service and time delivery to improve..
Most staff are friendly, polite and helpful. The food is good and reasonable quality. There were, however a couple of issues such as we asked for sweet potato chips but were served regular chips but still charged for sweet chips. It is fairly common for mistakes so, because we had a money off voucher we decided not to complain.
