Great view of the harbour. Plenty of outside sitting. British modern interior with a pub like atmosphere. Lots of patron capacity so they can accomodate large groups. Pleasant service staff and knowledge about their offerings. I would be pleased to come back to Cafe Rouge once again.
Popped in for Breakfast, a little pricey, but had a 20% voucher. Breakfast was hot and tasty, but a little on the small side. Coffee was nice. Its a good place to sit and watch the world go by.Food: 4/5
What a lovely Afternoon Tea at Cafe Rouge. The weather was fantastic so sitting outside to enjoy the marina was an added bonus to this great food. IF only they offered more of a veggie option instead of just cheese that would have be fantastic. But overall good experience.
I wanted to treat my partner to an afternoon tea on the seafront and Google recommended Cafe Rouge. Upon arrival, we were a little early but it wasn't busy so we got a decent table outdoors. We had to wait quite a while to be served, and again to have our tea. Although the service was slow we did enjoy the experience and the food was really exceptional. It is recommended not to use vouchers if you want a little flexibility in your order.
Food was good, if sitting outside it's a nice view over part of the marina. The menu isn't vast but there's something for most tastes. The bar, restaurant and toilets that are upstairs were all clean. Although the service was great for taking orders, the slight issue I had was that the servers would walk past tables and not take the empty plates away until it seemed a last resort!! A bit more attention to the all round service would have increased the rating.
Wow! Never been to Cafe rouge before and it was incredible! We had the whole restaurant to ourselves and the food was spectacular. Really great gluten free options and service was spot on. I can't say enough good things. Dietary restrictions: Great for gluten free
Cafe rouge Brighton is a great place for breakfast, lunch or just coffee. Francesco is excellent and entertaining host who cares and caters for you on arrival and keeps you entertained throughout. Been here many times and always excellent service.Recommended dishesFull English Breakfast, Afternoon Tea
We had a very nice lunch on a beautiful afternoon sitting on the outdoor patio. We both enjoyed our meals. My fish was very well done and tasty. My wife enjoyed her soup. The service was very good. The interior of the restaurant was very nice and clean. I would recommend Cafe Rouge.
Nice pub with friendly staff and good service. Decent for a couple of quiet drinks, but the food is nowhere near as good as it used to be which is a real shame. The menu and general dining experience used to be really well thought out and high quality, now it just feels like any regular pub except the more interesting items on the menu aren’t particularly well cooked. Feels like they lost a good chef and replaced them with your average pub cook.
When ever we visit Brighton Marina we generally pop in here for a coffee and some times a snack, today was no different a sunny January day a nice walk and Cafe Rouge for coffee, it can be a bit hit and miss service wise, busy during the summer months so it can be slow getting served, today it was quite and we where not sure the waitress had been doing the job long, I ordered a flat white coffee, I like flat whites if served in the correct proportions which is quite rare not even some of the well known coffee shops can get it right, so a good test and if comes in the correct sized cup and even better if the barista adds the traditional bit of latte art, I ended up with a latte in a capachino sized cup, some where along the way the order had been miss read or miss taken, the barman did apologise and offer to take it away and replace with the coffee I ordered, I just decided to keep it, have to say it was nothing special. We also ordered a baked camembert with bread, that was quite nice, we had it to share it came not only with bread but carrot, cucumber and celery sticks and made a nice snack. Apart from the coffee it was nice stop and I love the style of this restaurant, we sat inside but right at the front with a view across the marina, in the summer it's nice to sit outside and watch the world go by.
