Have eaten here now a few times and every time has been star rated food, excellent service and lovely staff always with a smile. Worth the money, every penny.
Day trip to Manchester, had breakfast before arrival so upon arrival we wanted a quick snack before lunch. Great prices, super friendly staff and good food. Can’t complain!
It seems like the staff do not know how to speak a word of english. When we were ordering the woman had no idea what we were talking about so we had to point each item from the menu and she copied and wrote the items letter by letter, word by word. No surprise she got our order wrong when the food came we explained we did not want a certain item on our plate as we were allergic and she got that wrong which is very dangerous. The only thing she got right was a cheesy garlic bread but when my partner took a bite there was a piece of hair melted into the cheese. Attached a photo. After the experience we had we decided to just leave hungry and not fed.
The food was loverly for a cafe as it was freshly cooked and hot when it arrived. This is the first time that I have had their full breakfast as it was full and kept me going for the whole day.
I have been coming here for over 40 years. I visited yesterday and it was the busiest I have ever seen. The waitress could not get round to us so I has to order at the till, waited longer than I ever have before. Did I mind? NO. The food here is amazing I have never once been disappointed and yesterday was no exception. Gorgeous just cooked food. Generous menu. Good price for quality. Friendly and calm atmosphere even at peak times. No one was complaining. The waitress was so polite and friendly. A simply stunning place and one I and my family always visit in Manchester, we never eat anywhere else. Keep up the excellent work and keep smiling. Your place is amazing.
Looked nice from outside, but not from the inside, almost no daylight. The food was good and not expensive.
I am giving a 5 star as I don't really have anything to complain for. The prices are very reasonable, so you cannot expect the food to be served like fine dining, I mean presentation. I found to the staff to be fine as well. We went 4 adults and one toddler in between the Christmas and New Year's. We are all used to fine places but found this cafe nice as it's not overpriced and the food is good, portions are more than reasonable as well. I think people forget that this is a cafe. If you don't like the surroundings or other service issues, you are more than welcome to go elsewhere and pay more.
We ordered 2 breakfasts and some drinks. The waitress wore down the order and read it back to us. I could see it written down correctly. We got our drinks quite quickly but the breakfasts never arrived. After about 30 mins, we chased the order to be told that they hadn't written it down. We paid for the drinks and went over the road and had a lovely breakfast there.
Mostly untrained and unenthusiastic staff cannot handle too many guests. They were a bit rude, and sometimes did not understand what I wanted. I had an English breakfast, it's called the Manchester breakfast there, it was greasy, didn't taste really good. Reasonable prices though.
Disgusting food... we were so disappointed and staff didn't really seem to care when I pointed out that their sausages and black pudding were Disgusting. Never again.
