A best restaurant & pub in town! This restaurant has a stunning ocean view. Foods are good. I’ve had pasta, fish and chips, sandwiches and a waffle before and they are all lovely. Most importantly, staffs are fantastic. All really friendly and lovely. This restaurant us usually busy so recommend you to make a reservation before!
Lovely wine bar in Gourock with a great atmosphere. Disappointed that they did not have Sauvignon Blanc they cited delivery issues. We were served by a lovely waitress called Emma who was just fantastic. She really took care of us and gave us a high standard of service. Beautiful views over the river from the seats at the back.
Busy place for food. Options are more like bar food than restaurant / bistro. Casual dining for sure. Unfortunately I had a pretty poor Mac n cheese. No flavour or seasoning. Credit to the staff as they sorted it out for me and i did get a tasty dish the second time of asking. Staff were friendly. They do not accept amex. Fish and chips were nice too as were the sweet potato fries. Burgers looked deflated and unappealing I'm sorry to say. It's been a while since I've been in and it seems to have lost its sparkle for me.
Good food well priced not stingy on the plating. Staff are so lovely and very attentive even if it's busy. Food served promptly. Only bad point is the tables they could do with a revamp most are shaky/unstable which is a shame.

Great food good value, lovely position and friendly staff
We picked this place randomly, while passing through Gourock and it was a good choice. Their beef burger is just amazing. The chips are perfectly crispy. Staff is fantastic, helpful. Highly recommended if you are in the area!!
Have been living in the area for a year and as this is my favourite local place. I booked a week in advance for a visit from my parents. I had asked if we could be seated by the window with a view of the Clyde. The guy who took the booking not only remembered me but, even though the place was busy, made sure we had an even better table than I had expected. I was so keen for Cafe Continental to give my folks the same experience that we have always enjoyed. It was more than I could have hoped for. As always, the service was excellent and the food was too. The specials were a highlight along with the wine. I always feel completely comfortable in this place whether I'm going for a meal or just dropping in for a drink. It's unpretentious but somehow classy at the same time.
Had not been in the place for years and It's still as I remember it. Was slightly noisy; just a lot of people for the size of the place. The view was good as it was a nice day and they have huge windows looking onto the Clyde.Had a good day,good meal and yes the service was good too!. Parking: Limited parking out front however huge carpark at rear. Wheelchair accessibility: Good wide doors at front. Inside might be a little cramped but all on one level.
Great meal as always and good service. My one issue was that there was someone in the bar area with a very large old English sheepdog that barking loudly and excessively through our time there. Really bad behaviour by the owner who seemed proud of his dog’s behaviour
