Despite the reviews, i thought I'd give it a try. It didn't bother me the portions were small. The disappointment came from the lack of flavour. The beef tacos were soggy without much gusto, they tasted like slow cooked meat that's not been seasoned. I asked for guacamole and salsa, what arrived was a generous portion of corn tortilla chips, smear of guacamole. I personally wouldn't try this again.
Mexican café in Camden. Nice if you want to sit and relax away from the busy lunch crowds. Be aware that the taco is a small soft disc with a tablespoon of food on each of the three you get on your plate. They sure are very tasty but if you’re very hungry Order a side of loaded nachos too. Drinks are dear. The agua Fresca was nice
They serve tacos and quesadillas, offer mexican drinks and beer. I had 3 tacos guajillo braised short rib, and it was tasteless, the portion was very small, one taco is literally on bite. So you pay £10 for the starter size. They do have 12.5% service charge. I paid £17 taco and one small beer leaving the place hungry. I would not recommend this place, there are several better food stalls around, with decent portions and better taste.
Great ambience and vibe especially the outside seating area. Good selection of cocktails and wine. Food leaves lot to be desired though with no standout Mexican dish. Oddly, their kale salad with pomegranate was amazing. Go there for drinks and location, not for food.
Popped in for a drink and some food, the place was nearly empty with 3 staff just chilling. No one took our order at first, so we thought it was bar service, went to order and were rudely snapped at 'it's table service'. We were brought our bloody Mary's, nothing like the menu description and they were horrible, so didn't order food. Had the cheek to add service charge to the bill so I asked for it to be removed. Bit disappointing for such a cool location. Go to the street food vendors instead.
Great night out. We had the soft tacos, Yumm! The waiting staff were very friendly. The whole atmosphere was very happy.
24th November 2021 It's was quiet on arrival and was seated straight away which was great. However the cramped conditions meant that even with a few groups of customers my meal was disturbed by having to get out of my seat to let other customers past. My party of three ordered three plates of tacos and a quesadilla. The food was tasty and spanking fresh however there was some issues. Firstly the heat was none existent. I love my Mexican food spicy hot, in my party my sister has lived in Mexico and her partner is Mexican and they both felt it was far too tame on the scoville scale. Also the tacos were absolutely tiny. The filling was completely acceptable in portion size but the tacos themselves we're just far too small meaning the filling could not be contained leading to a very messy meal. Staff friendly and helpful, food was beautiful and tasty fresh but the negatives had a major impact on the overall experience. If you like mild Mexican food this is still a great option. If you like Mexican food with a proper kick I would avoid personally.
Well... this remind me to never eat Mexican food on a restaurant that clearly is run by another person that is not Mexican. We order Guacamole and it was so terrible, first the Guacamole wasn’t fresh it was old and completely flavorless. And I thought how could you go wrong with Tacos, well I guess they don’t know how to make a simple Taco, they completely go out of their way to make it not pleasant for you. Hey people! Tacos don’t have sour cream in them... and please if your Guacamole is so trashy please don’t put Guacamole in your tacos. They need to really put attention into their food quality, . I’ll give you a tip... go to Mexico and learn how to cook Mexican food... or please stop advertising your restaurant as a Mexican Food... is so bad you are only damaging people’s idea of how good Mexican food is. I love my country’s food i can proudly say is one of the best cuisines in the entire world!!!
I love this bar; Ideally situated right on the Canal at the Stables Market where all the food stalls are at Camden Market this bar offers Mexican drinks and food as well as regular drinks and coffee's It has a small outdoor seating area with good heating which is much needed in the UK! Friendly staff and a welcoming trendy environment. Great venue for meeting friends, chilling, relaxing and of course most importantly in Camden - People watching!!! Grab a margarita and relax.
So, I would definitely avoid this place at all costs. You can eat at over a dozen of places around it for the same cost or even less and it just feels like a massive tourist trap. Completely overprices that tiny glass of kid’s cranberry juice you see there was £4. The food was tasteless, no salt and extremeley stingy in portions. But worse than that was the service. The blonde lady who “served” us was super rude, didn’t care about us and was extremely condescending. When I went to let her know where we had sat down, she rudely answered that they only do table service for people with reservations and told me I had to go order at the bar. So I did, without noticing they charged us a service fee without even telling us. Foe ordering at the bar???? Really?!?!? They never cleaned or cleared the table we were sat in. To the point I myself carried the dirty plates and trays. And they didn’t even say thanks when I came it to leave it at the bar. The food was lifeless as was the place. Never coming back, don’t even give it a chance. Terrible, terrible experience.
