Story

Come and visit our small, family run cafe just off the Askew Road for brunch, lunch or a nice evening meal with friends. Open since January 1993, CJ's has a long-standing tradition of providing fresh and exciting food to the local community. Influenced by our Malaysian and Irish backgrounds, we serve both authentic Malaysian-Thai food, and traditional English grub to our loyal customers (from near... and far!).

During the day, we offer full English breakfasts and a variety of lunch specials, both English and Malaysian-Thai. We are proud to sell Cafe Fairtrade coffee and a varied selection of traditional and herbal teas.

Or come in the evenings to enjoy our extensive menu of freshly prepared Malaysian-Thai dishes. Bring a bottle of wine (or two) and relax in our friendly and comfortable environment. Or simply telephone for a takeaway!

Fantastic Thai food. Really tasty Chilly Cod. Will deffinitely be back again in the future

Lovely, friendly family run business. The food is a beautiful fusion of Malaysian/Thai cuisine. You can also get a lovely English breakfast or Omelette if you like! And really good quality and value for money too!

You'll struggle to find better Thai or Malaysian food in Asia. Trust me... I've tried. The food here is amazing and the friendly, cosy, atmosphere is wonderful. My whole family loves it as do all the many friends we've introduced.

Cjs cafe is one of our favourite restaurants in the area. Such tasty food, lovely service and is such good value. We recommend to our clients daily. Overall amazing! x

Good and affordable food. But noting too fancy. Good for lunch break.

Lovely little place with great food and nice staff. Good prices.

Decent cuppa. Egg sarnie wasn't up to much but edible. The Wi-Fi was too much of a pain to bother with. Magic FM playing the same 5 old pop songs didn't improve matters. But not bad overall. They probably do great with all the Thai stuff, but my guts weren't up to the challenge, not in the morning. Nice friendly staff.
