I found this little gem today near Baron’s court station. Impressed with their coffee, I quite enjoyed my medium latte. Was quite busy, a few people in the queue but service was amazing and I got served fast. Food looked delicious, I will try it next time when in the area. They have a cute balcony where you can stay in the sun and enjoy your stay. Nice decor, I will definitely go back . Highly recommended if you are in the area.
A local institution that I've been going to for at least 25 years. Good coffee, good food, lovely balcony and garden in summer. I'm baffled by the reports of rude staff in other reviews. Perhaps they just don't suffer fools gladly? Now Gales has taken some of the laptop brigade away, it's even better than it was.
This is a lovely little cafe next to baron’s court tube station. Very polite stuff. Big selection of sandwiches and sweets. Spinach and cheese pies also available. The little garden at the back is a nice quiet pet friendly spot!
Nice coffee but very rude staff. My friend and I ordered a hot latte and an iced mocha. After waiting for our drinks we were handed 2 iced mochas + the latte so I took them presuming they’d just made too much and gave me the extra. However the staff behind the till handed me all 3 drinks & then proceeded to be incredibly rude asking why I took all the drinks when I knew I only ordered two. Personally I think the staff should be responsible for giving drinks to the correct customers & not blaming the customer for poor standards of service.
absolutely awful. We were a group of 6 and wanted to see if there were tables inside for us but the older lady who works there refused our entry, she raised her voice and said we had to buy first and then leave and not stay inside. We were all clearly foreigners 4 latinas and 2 black and one had the rainbow flag bag aka lesbian, so not sure if this is what influenced that reaction on that lady. My friend then asked if she could just go in to see if there were tables and the lady shouted at her and said we were not welcome there and for us to go away. Never in my entire life I have been treated like that. NEVER. We were so shocked and disgusted.
Lovely place, open early. Fresh pastries, none of that dry, yesterday taste. Super-friendly service, and a nice little fresh-air balcony at the back. Perfect.
I always grab here a coffee before catching my tube. Great service, delicious coffee, various sandwich and pastry options. Cozy atmosphere.
Lovely little independent café with milk alternatives for those who do not drink cows milk. Good food and nice service, would recommend going here as it also has some outdoor seating for when the weather is nice.
I am not sure if its the owner/manager the older blonde lady seems to always be in a bad mood. Anytime you come in she moans and seems to not want to be there and be negative, never a smile or hello. Its a real shame as the coffee is brilliant and the savoury treats are a great lunch pick me up!
Their staff is not the nicest and aren’t really flexible. I ordered a fresh juice, they were out of one ingredient total ingredients were 3. I asked for another ingredient as a replacement which they refused, but they still charged me the same price. Actually even more because their board was quoting a lower price. The food is good but a bit overpriced.
