Very helpful ticket man. Amazing that the ticket office was open on a Sunday! The ticket officer was very helpful. Lovely station too. Very scenic journey into Stockport.
A lovely end of line train station, filled with Art, well tended garden, lovely model and friendly staff.nThe Friends of Buxton station obviously do a terrific job maintaining and enhancing this terminus.nThe art is lovely to see and the guard sculpture, utterly amazing.nA book shelf was a perfect complement, to this really nice station.

There are some nice places to visit in n around Buxton. Plenty of walks with amazing views
Yesterday travelled from Manchester to Buxton by train. The train was warm and on time. Buxton station is worth a good look round especially the garden with interesting items made by local children. Interesting buildings abound in Buxton to mention a few the Dome, pump room. art museum and the Crescent. I enjoyed my day.
