The whole of the town centre is quite run down, the Butter marke centret is clean and tidy but lacking in shops. Unfortunately this seems to be the same across most town centres. If you are in the area go the extra distance and give Bury St Edmunds a look for a wide range of chain and loads of independent shops not talking about vape/sweet or dodgy convience stores
Much better than it used to be a short while ago. The ceiling/roof has now been fixed, and everything is usually clean. Not an awful lot of stores in here, but there's a mix of food places, entertainment, and a couple of clothes stores.
The Buttermarket Centre is okay overall, but it does feel like there are fewer shops than before and some are starting to close. The escalators also seem to be out of order quite often, which can be inconvenient.nnOn the positive side, the toilets are clean. Hoping to see some improvements in the future
Pretty town square. Old Ipswich is quaint with lots of medieval period buildings. Like other cities there are many charity shops and other low-level retail. Unfortunately the outskirts are largely derelict and rundown.
Here’s some pictures of the butter-market and some from Christmas time too, they always make it look beautiful here during Christmas, I highly recommend coming here later at night to see the lights in action!
