Quirky pub set in beautiful location. Good selection of beers and food with additional eating options on the specials board. I had the steak pasty which I have to confess was a bit underwhelming - minimal steak and any flavour masked by the dressing to the salad which was very strong. As others have said, the gents loos are outside and rather rustic - clean though. Ladies loos inside by contrast were apparently very swish.
Turned up on a Sunday with the family, 6 of us. Very busy but we got a table. Friendly staff, food appeared very quickly and was superb! The best roast I have had in a pub. Chips, calamari and pizza were very highly rated by the kids! Puds were good too, great ice cream! Would thoroughly recommend
One of our favorite local pubs. Always good food and friendly staff. A good sign is it's off the beaten track but still busy. Lovely meals there again today in the sunshine. Thanks very much from the team at Mill Farm Devon holidays.
Nice country pub sporting a good atmosphere. The food was great albeit expensive in my opinion @ £7.50 for a sandwich however was enjoyable. Nice roaring fires to sit by after a good winter walk:Service: 5/5

Love this out of the way ancient country pub, nice selection of food, not just the usual pub grub, specials board for something a bit different. Large selection of beers and ciders, staff very pleasant and welcoming. Always try to drop in here when we’re on holiday around Bude. A number of dining areas available and bed and breakfast. Managed to grab a table in the bar, even though it was quiz night and many tables reserved. Food, cider and ale reasonably priced. Gent’s toilets are a bit of local joke being quite “primitive” just across the farm yard, apparently the ladies are quite pleasant so I’ve been told.
A fantastic, friendly pub. Great find for our holiday. Have had several meals which were all amazing. Made our holiday. Highly recommend as was welcomed from the moment we walked inService: 5/5

Lovely Sunday Roast on Father's Day. Great home-cooked food. Nice restaurant location with views over the countryside. Bearing in mind how busy, service was relatively quick and staff friendly. Wide selection of choices on the menu. This is a dog-friendly restaurant, so if not keen consider other options.Service: 5/5
