Ordered online ahead for large Gluten Free cod and chips. Order ready in 15 mins. Was amazed at the quality and quantity. They offer a variety of GF options and everything cooked in a separate fryer. Tasted every bit as good as it looked. The two guys working that afternoon 10th April were totally lovely and knew what they were doing in terms of GF. They also offered 2 different GF vinegars! Thanks to everyone at Bury Fish and Chips for offering outstanding options.
Sharing a haddock, scampi and large chips takeaway. Beautifully cooked, generous portions, friendly and efficient service by the team. A little gem of a place.
Tasty freshly cooked food Staff friendly and polite Clean seating area Would recommend
Good portions of fresh tasting flaky cod, nice batter not the deepest or crunchiest but good enough, well cooked chips no excess oil all produced to order in quick time. Of particular note, they do gluten-free portions and their chips are not floured so well worth making the trip for those with that allergy.
Friendly staff. Cosy atmosphere. Best chips in Bury St Edmunds. Highly recommended.Food: 5/5
Great food. One of the rare places in England that sell steakettes under the name 'battered burger'. Great selection of food, it was nice and fresh when I went. The only reason I'm not leaving 5 stars is because they didn't pack my curry sauce and I didn't realise until I was miles down the road in a hurry to get home. Would recommend!
Great fish and chips best I have had in some time, not a bad price only down side is no toilet.
Excellent Fish&chips shop really liked how the fish was hot and fresh I ordered the Cod &chips meal it was very filling and delicious will go back with the family next time also the staff was very friendly .
I am not one for leaving bad reviews or for any reviews for that matter but today’s meal is too much to ignore. It consisted of old chips, old steak and kidney pie and old fish. The sausage was about the only decent piece. The person in white shirt was very pleasant when he took our order, but I’m afraid I can’t say the same to the person who prepared our food behind the counter. Would you serve an unsatisfactory food to a very well dressed and a loyal customer. Should there be a difference? You know the food you prepare and serve. There is no excuse. I am too shy to complain as we didn’t order much and understand how some businesses are struggling but its heartbreaking knowing what I gave my hungry children to eat. I hope you grow some conscience and never do it again.
Friendly, Good chips easy to nip in park and pickup. Is a good chippy, I don't think they do gravy on chips but I have given up looking since moving down south :
