Overall, this is a cheap and cheerful pub meal. To do two for one of a reasonably good menu place could do with a little bit of a refurb. Staff staff polite helpful the food quality is reasonable. Had several different meals here. Definitely does vary on the chef and the day curry is a nice sausages Oh hit a mess but again It depends. I'm a chef and how they feel they should be cooked. I don't like my charcoal or burnt and maybe arrived like that before some days. Got a nice colour on them. Still succulent and juicy either way. The carvery have had several times again. I think that's dependant on who's cooking definitely go for a walk up and look what's on in the carvery before you pay for it. But as I said, stuff are really nice. The price is a reasonable. Quite a food is ok. I do keep returning so that says something.
Front of house staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food left a lot to be desired from my perspective. I ordered burger and chips and I've had tastier microwave burgers. This was very bland. My husband however did enjoy the gammon. Dessert menu looked appetising but I didn't want to waste anymore money as I didn't feel it was particularly good value for money.
Good food and great service. The staff are so friendly. They sell Costa so it is great to take a client there for a meeting. Do not miss breakfast, remember they service the premier inn for breakfast! Good disabled access make sure you ask for a suitable table. The interior is a little tired in places but you have to blame the chain for that! Manager is such a great guy.
We had breakfast here which was good. Eat as much as you like for under a tenner. Staff friendly and helpful. We also had dinner which was good and less that £40 for 2 starters and main courses and drinks. People that complain don't lose sight of the fact this is a Brewers Fayre not a Michelin Star Restaurant. We had to wait around 40 minutes for our food but were fully warned about this before we ordered allowing us the opportunity to go elsewhere if we wanted to Parking: Good size car parked which is shared with the adjacent Premier Inn.
Have been here alot of times now, always great service! The atmosphere is great, always seems full, but there is always space, especially if you reserve in advance! The staff are really nice and do everything in their power to provide the best service. Although, a handful of times, the wait from starters to mains can be around 30 minutes to an hour. This is normally because of the amount of customers and most people can fully understand.
Been here a few times now as the food is generally pretty decent for what you pay. The front of house staff are all friendly and helpful. The issue lies with the waiting times. I'm not sure if it's down to exceptionally poor management or just lack of experience from the young looking kitchen staff but it's ridiculous. Over an hour's wait seems pretty standard and it ruined our meal out for a 10th birthday.
On a really busy sunday they did their absolute best to get us a table and we weren't waiting long for food. If your expecting fine dining its not for you. Food is good and really tasty despite a busy carvery we werent waiting long for our food off the menu. Staff are all really friendly and will do what they can to help you.Food: 4/5
Me and my friend had hunters chicken they had no salad or coleslaw so they gave us this poxy corn on the cob was absolutely disgusted
Arrived with a table of 7 had to wait over an hour for food, once it finally arrived 3 dishes had either large amounts of fat on the meat, hairs or a combination of both. Front of house staff very friendly and helpful with replacing dishes but after such a long wait was very disappointed. This place has seriously gone down hill since last visit! Will be last time we visit!
Visited on a Sunday evening. Food was good value for money. Service was unfortunately very slow. Over an hour for the main course and had to go an ask for our desserts or we would have been waiting even longerFood: 3/5
