Great space! Lots to do and see with kids. Fishing lake was great if you ignore the Coot eating the Carp!.nnReally cool play parks - bring scooters/bikes/boards for kids as they have hilly race tracks included.nnNice cafe for snacks after.nnThe outdoor gym here is one of the best ive ever seen too!!
Spent the afternoon playing tennis at Burgess Park, and it was honestly one of the best decisions I’ve made this week. The courts are set against a backdrop of open greenery, and with the sun out, the whole space had a really clean, refreshing vibe. The blue surface of the court contrasts beautifully with the surrounding park — it almost feels like you’re playing in a postcard.nnAfter a good match, I walked over to a nearby coffee shop just off the park. It’s a small, quiet spot with outdoor seating, perfect for cooling down. I grabbed an iced latte and sat back, watching the late afternoon settle in. Between the match, the scenery, and the coffee, it was the perfect mix of activity and downtime. It’s wheelchair friendly!
Today I visited Burgess Park and had a great time! The weather was perfect—very sunny and ideal for a relaxing outdoor experience. I especially loved the rows of cherry trees that made the scenery even more stunning. It’s a peaceful place to walk, relax. The park is well-maintained, and there’s plenty of open space to unwind. Definitely one of my favourite spots in London on a sunny day! Highly recommended for nature lovers and families.
My closest park. I love her down. She has a lake and is wonderful in any weather. Spans from old kent road to walworth/camberwell I'm there almost everyday. These are my most recent photos.
This is the park that grounds me; give me a sense of peace and let's me breathe slap bang in the middle of London
