Came for a music festival.nnGreat Park to be in.nnVery big with plenty of activities.nnCan be a fair amount of time from the tube and one needs a bus to get her unless in walking distance.nnPlenty of space though so ideal for groups.nnLots of people flying kites which was good to watch.nnThey had good facilities generally.
A nice little park with lots of quirky things to discover on a walk around, has a cafe with a toilet, that serves hot and cold drinks, food and alcohol. Also has lots of little crafts and kitsch things that you can buy. Is close to the children’s playground and a water feature. There are tennis courts and football pitch and there is even a place to fish. They have really packed everything in that they can! There are also newly installed bbq station which can be used by the public, have not seen it yet but have heard it looks pretty good! Park can get busy but generally when I have been it’s not been too bad. I would be careful if you have a bike or any valuables not to leave them lying around as there have been a few thefts here… so just be cautious.. it’s a shame that this happens because it is really a lovely park!
It's my long time local park and I love it. The only faults I can give is not about the park itself but just London weather. In summer it's a nice park to walk or just chill in. Wish they had some sort of Café near the pond, thats one thing that would make this a perfect park in London.
Very large park in Southwark with a magnificent lake that is home to many wild birds including swans, geese, ducks, moorhens, coots, cormorants and crested grebes. Lovely wildflower areas too. A great place to spend some time.
Nice location, relaxing, escaping place, a little nice coffee shop. Recommended for walking.
