Nice pub apparently with a looong history. Young to middle aged crowd. Compact on the inside with dim lights and nice open space with parasols for outdoor sitting, which also doubles as the smoking section. Did not fully utilise this place and i know i will visit again.

Good local pub with some great quick food options you expect from the mcmullens chain. Really well decorated and kept to a high standard. The outside area is well laid out for current covid regs and easy to navigate. All staff were really helpful and attentive. Ordering food and drinks via the app to the table is excellent. Think it was the quickest I've ever been served a Sunday lunch. Portion size was big for those I was with so I'd recommend the lighter one if you don't want a huge roast like me. Highly recommend
It's a nice pub , great food and beers and lots of tables available. Staff is kind , apart for a young lady behind the bar that was little rude , she said we cannot have food outside but just in the restaurant. So we just ordered few drinks outside , and a guy came to us asking if we want to have some food....so I was wondering why the lady inside behind the bar said to is we cannot have food.... The guy was very nice so we ordered our meal...and everything was great at the end !
Been here the last 2 nights and tomorrow will be the hat trick . Lovely friendly staff, fish and chips divine and the California burger fan tast ic!
Cracking meal here today. Not overly expensive, good portions. The beef dinner was particularly good. The staff couldn't do enough to help the whole time we were there. We will definately be returning next time we are in the area. Thanks very much!
Have been to this pub many times and really like it here. Tonight they let themselves down. We waited too long for the food and when it came the roast beef was more like beef stew. To their credit they changed the meat and replaced it with roast chicken and lamb shank. However this did not compensate for the vegetables, roast potatoes that were mushy, oily and not nice, cauliflower cheese that tasted of nothing and certainly not cheese. We were not the only ones. The couple adjacent waited 90:minutes for their food. All I heard all evening was the staff apologising. To compensate we were offered free desserts but by this time it was late and we were past eating dessert so we were offered 20% off the bill. £20 off a £160 bill..?? Oh no not the bill just the food. I cant tell you how disappointed I am. I was looking forward to a meal here with my family and left feeling shortchanged. I will visit again as in the past have always been happy with the food the service and the whole experience. The whole thing was not handled well.
