Like mentioned below one member of staff is a little rude. But in that job I feel you would need to be blunt as not all people are polite themselves. Witnessed myself the way this lady had been spoken too surprisingly not young people either When she’s only doing her job and some people are a little thick so it gets the picture through quicker The doctors surgery are over worked with demand of new houses this is the councils fault not are surgery’s that have been opened for years. Is hard for appointment but always get one if really needed. Phoned up at 3 for my poorly son and was seen by 530 so can’t really fault that.
Been dealing with doctors regarding my mum for last two yrs , then fri had to call them regarding my mother female doctor wanted authorisation for me to speak on mother's behalf didn't want to come out in asking for her name on 9 occasions Dr Singh refusing to give me details , so massive complaint going in about no duty of care to my 88yr old mum , now the practice manager decides to take my mum of the practise list ,even tho the manager last yr messed up with perceptions and cause my mu. Ill health such a terrible surgery
Got through to reception today in 5 minutes. Asked for a call back from GP. She called me at 1230 & was very receptive to my concerns. Have an appointment on Thursday for blood tests and examination by doctor. Amazing service thank you.
Useless! Given wrong information by Dr? regarding HRT. Asked for a print out of my blood results and was greeted with "well we don't normally do that but you can have them for 50 pence a page. I find there is always resistance if you dare ask questions! Receptionists also unhelpful. Will not be going back. Looking for another practice! I see they have now employed female doctors after a number of years. Only wish I could have seen a female! Would have been much happier.
Son has been waiting for ringbacks that never happens, run out of medication because of this so has been in distress because of anxiety since ,3 days later still no meds. Sorry but its disgusting
As a relatively new patient I was not aware of just how difficult it is to even begin any form of treatment. I have heard loads of anecdotal information about the 'new' system of having 'qualified medical receptionists' acting as gatekeepers because there are not enough GP's appointments but what I had not realised was they work hard to ensure - IF THEY THINK in their medically qualified opinion YOU ARE NOT DESERVING - that you will go to the back of the queue. This means that, even if you have a genuine medical need, you may wait for AT LEAST eight hours before a GP will call you - this includes 'follow-up' appointments where that GP has asked you to have blood tests first - so the consultation SHOULD follow...... The GP tells me he is working 16 hour days suggesting that he has joined the ranks of the senior managers all over the country in various professions and at an average salary of £121,000 is probably paid more than they are..... I DO realise that the NHS is hard-pressed and I AM grateful when you can get that help they are uniquely placed to give BUT when you have NO CHOICE then patient need/market forces need to be considered and if more GP's are required then perhaps they could be sought? Beware too of asking for new prescriptions and/or repeats because, even though a family member is being treated for a life-threatening illness everything still has to 'go through the process' because the receptionists say so.......which means that not only will the written prescription be delayed for a 'number' of days although the medication was intended for immediate start - but also, because getting the appropriate forms signed is also delayed 'by the process' any/all prescriptions will have to be paid for in full before exemption cards are issued. It is difficult to write this review because I am aware that the people whose performance of their job is being exposed will probably read this - but then I was already at the 'back of the queue' in any case.
Same surgery .same review. Care of my conditions has been low key, poor! At best. And contradictory do i have diabetes yes then no . Do i have a liver problem yes then Nothing wrong with me. Do i have high cholesterol, yes then nothing wrong with me . Lost my m.r.i results twice ! no prescription review in over 2 years , dispensary issues generic drugs . I have had one face to face with my designated G.P in 3 years . Despite ongoing health deteriation . surgery poorly equipt . This is the worst care I have encountered in my 63 years on earth Hingham surgery was the best. 4 years ago wish i had never moved .
Have never had a problem here. Most staff are very helpful, telephone manner of one person is a bit rude and blunt thats why iv only rated 4 stars.
