If you are looking for a friendly welcome, a smile, a clean, warm and homely place to stop for a drink and a bite to eat, you need look no further.  From the unusual touches like books to read and scrabble to play, down to cosy fires and spacious lounges.

Our party of 50 were looked after by Mike and James. The homemade country vegetable soup and rustic roll was very welcome, served hot and to the ladies first which was a lovely touch. They served hot drinks quickly and efficiently and there was a good range of ales and wines.

We will certainly be back to sample more of their extensive menu.
