Today I went to 81 Hamburger Heaven. Me, my Husband and Son all had burgers. My husband and I had the venom burger XXL size with cheese and bacon fries and our son had Kids chicken burger meal with chips and garlic bread and Waffles with ice cream for dessert. Now for my review: The XXL venom burgers were cooked to perfection. It consisted of 2x massive burger patties, 4 hash browns, bacon and a flavoursome rub sauce. By the time we had got to the second burger it was still piping hot inside. The cheese and bacon wet fries were very tasty and still hot after we had ate our burger first! Our son had the kids chicken burger meal with chips and garlic bread. He said it was absolutely delicious! He had the kids waffles with ice cream and maple syrup for pudding and he said it looked exactly like "eggos" that Eleven eats in Stranger Things. And tasted amazing. Friendliness: Cleanliness: Food portions: Food quality: Kid-friendliness: Very child friendly! Lots of superhero bits dotted around the place! Only thing we would say is to maybe name the kids menu superhero related similar to the adults menu. Parking: On site customer parking and plenty of it. Wheelchair accessibility: All on one level with no steps. Very wheelchair friendly.

Just like the old Buddies! Lots of choice, staff really helpful, food always served hot. It’s a shame they don’t have beer on tap and the bottles are expensive, but other than that it’s great value.
AMAZING, its back. We loved Buddies and ate at most of their restaurants but after it was sold off it changed and we only went once. So pleased to see that its back, original sized portions, all the old favourites and the deserts too. Absolute master stroke by the owner to sell, cash in, let Buddies go down under new owners and then to re establish once that folded. I look forward to eating here regularly once again, just need Rushden back now.
As someone with more than a few visits to Buddies back in the days of the 'hamburger heaven' menu, it was joyous to visit here and have that experience recaptured. Delicious food, reasonably priced and generously portioned. Crazy amount of choice on the menu, including some great breakfast offerings. The charming americana-drenched ambience has bern retained and they even had the little train running! Always recommended.
Good to have the old Buddies experience back, great service and great food. Big menu that caters for all tastes and good value.
It’s very difficult for people to take the time to write reviews for good restaurants, which is why this place makes it easy, it’s great. The food was fantastic in both quality and quantity. The building itself is a feast for the eyes and the staff, just brilliant. One young lady took the time to engage and involve my ‘attention poor’ nephew. She was incredibly polite and engaging throughout and made sure we were never left wanting. Despite this place being a 2 hour drive for us, we’ll be back. I challenge anyone to find fault with the burgers, they are amazing. The only negative, the fries aren’t the best but, if these were improved, Buddies would be untouchable.
Just like old Buddies! Great service, big portions, amazing value for money. Specialist vegan and vegetarian menus available with 'Moving Mountains' option instead of your regular boring vegetable burger you get elsewhere! Would recommend a visit.Food: 5/5
Growing up I spent most of my birthdays in Buddy's. I was sad to see it end a while back and the different restaurants close down. Happy to say 81 Hamburger Heaven is still everything Buddies was. Great food, service and that American dinner atmosphere.Food: 5/5
Really enjoyed the buddies there before. Went to 81 diner hoping it would be similar and granted it is. Decor is exactly the same, they still use 'Buddies' plates and napkins. But the food is a little disappointing. Quite plain and basic food but enjoyable for the price. Some reasonable prices but most are steep for the quality. Fairly great and speedy service though, props to the staff for managing busy times well .
