Getting service at the post office counter is a lottery. You're more likely to randomly get told they're not taking any parcels in the middle of the day, plus every member of staff tells you different opening times for the "post office" google opening times are not true, you're lucky if they take any parcels past 5pm in my experience and you can't even buy stamps when the post office counter isn't open. Once I was even told the only member of staff who can man the post office till is on lunch so I should come back later?! How hard can it be to process a simple return package? Pretty poor experience.
Shut at 7.12am on Wednesday. I was told they do a role over. That was the excuse. Last time yesterday they had an issue with there system. Terrible service and not polite. They say it like we should know about these things when it says on the internet that they are open.
Shocking service, never open and hit ir miss if anyone is trained and on shift that can do the post office don’t even want to give it one star but have to in order to leave my reviews
Post office opening times at the moment within the shop are 9-6 Monday to Friday. 9-2 Saturday and Sundays
Visited today at 9.45am to use the post office. Signs at the post office counter said to use the main shop counter for postal services. I went to the main counter to be told that the post office will not be opening until ten or half past ten. There were three members of staff in the shop, none of which were in particularly busy looking and I was the only customer in the store - I can see why now given its so unreliable. I won't be using this branch again in the future. if you want a good reliable friendly post office, I suggest you use the Abbeyview post office. They are a million times better than this lazy branch.
Post office not open when it’s advertised that it is.
Agree with the other comment. Not a Post Office. One minute the guys scanning your Milk and Bread, takes a side step right and all of a sudden he's a Post Mistress, eh no. I handed a parcel over that I'd already put a label on in advance, explained that to the guy. I got a glachit look back. He couldn't fathom how I already had one on it ready to go, and made daft blunder after daft blunder. Ask him for a Cake or a packet of Crisps though and he's right at home. My advice to anyone looking for a Post Office, go elsewhere. Although I can't advise where as it seems nowadays 'all' Post Offices in Dunfermline are of the same ilk. The one in Abbeyview is okay as long as you don't get those two women in their late 50's behind the counter. They always seem to be on shift together, and they're a couple of slow, miserable people with really bad attitudes. Somebody needs to tell them there are other jobs that don't involve working with the public, If this is how miserable it's made them.
Walked in at 11.30am and was told they were closed due to the school kids going on lunch soon. Ermm, what has that got to do with anything.
Mega convenient post office opening hours - dropped in just after 7 on a Sunday morning and it was open! Dawn was really helpful too, thank you!
This used to be a really good post office, but the past couple of time I have gone it's not been good, some people that work there would rather just talk to each other when you are standing there ready to be seen,
